[Rate] my 2nd thread design - Razor 1911 - Jan 31, 2015

earlier i made a thread design which was not really professional looking, was not a mainstream thread design that we usually see on HF, which are designed flat..

you can check that design here - https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=4660154

it was an experimentation since it was a free graphic request and i have no pressure of maintaining a certain quality since the user who requested has nothing in mind and had no expectation...

this is the improvement i made over my previous design.. i designed this one also for free.. and my priority is to learn as for now rather than making money.. however a little extra dollar wont hurt 😁

That is actually quite nice. Honest rating: 4/10.

I would rate this around a 7, nice colour scheme.

quite nice but 4 out of 10.! that's quite low imo, anyways thanks for replying can you suggest improvements?

Too much red. Try adding gradients or something. Maybe a color correction.

Again...
What the actual clusterfuck.
Make the width of your threads 1000px, and get all text centered, and maybe titles aligned to the right or something.
There's honestly not a lot of difference from your first design to the second.
This black and red looks waaay too plain.

Would be cool to see a panel with a red background and black text, instead of it all having the black background and red text.
Maybe even bring in a 3rd color, which is not a contrast color (Black and white).

Agreed. Too much of one thing is a bad thing.

Oops, I forgot to add that. When you make the width of your thread 1000px, you shouldn't get the text closer than 50px-100px to the edge on both sides.
So make some guidelines like this:
http://prntscr.com/5zd13q
and keep the text in between those guidelines.
The centered one is just to keep everything centered, which can get a little difficult, when you start getting a lot of layers, and they keep snapping to each other.

actually i made this in several segments.. overall the image size is little over 3.5MB and imgur makes it .jpg :/ i understand about centering all the things i keep it in mind for my next design..
