I know that he has a lot of rep and stuff but you run an exchange service and are way more trusted in the Currency Exchange Section than he is so you shouldn't have agreed to go first to him.

That's very true, I have seen so many people say they got hacked. Which I find funny, what are the odds are getting hacked only when you are making larger deals. 😏
Then he could provide proof by linking his BTC wallet, and see all his recent transactions and prove he sent the money.
