Just finished Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet (Suisei no Garugantia) - Aero - Feb 8, 2015
I really loved it. It's short but it definitely worked its way into my favorites.
Has anyone else watched it? It was written by Gen Urobuchi. He also wrote Psycho-Pass, for reference.

Also, I think I read somewhere that a season 2 will appear. Might be wrong though :p

It was unclear from what I saw. It will either be a second season or a movie. I think it would have to be a movie giving greater insight on everything. I just can't picture season two working out without Chamber.

Yeah, I heard something about a movie too.
I'm too lazy to actually research that stuff, as I don't really care. But I will probably watch it either way. :P

There are a pair of OVAs for the series but I think only one of them has aired so far.

There are two OVA's that I know of. One is about a ghost ship and the other is about Ledo's commander. If those are all, they are both aired.

There are actually four OVAs. Two are a side story and the other two are technically a sequel. The side story OVAs have already aired while only one of the sequels has.

Ah yes, this anime was amazing. I loved the whole concept but felt they left out a lot relating to the whole space empire.
