Omnicoin Status - Omniscient - Feb 12, 2015

Basically as most of you know OMC mining is suspended. The blockchain is being worked on to undo damage from a 51% attack that effected wallets at AllCrypt and also screwed up the group for OMC auction process.
At this time we can't accept OMC for 3P1C upgrades or the Omnicoin award. Wallets aren't even functioning properly. As such I'm forced to suspend that auction for a group with OMC. The auction will resume once normal operations of OMC resume and that we've taken steps to minimize future risk of this occurring again.
All this is a sad event over what's likely malicious intent to undermine the Omnicoin project and HF operations itself. However I'm not deterred from the mission and goals of Omnicoin. If things go well enough in a week or two things will be back to normal

I've been lurking around your page and this forum to see the news for omnicoin, its a shame what happened, I expected a very bright future for OMC as well, obviously not BTC future but maybe a top 5 crypto, the people of HF usually amount to wonderous things, it just sucks all this happened.
Sorry to all who lost OMC coins on allcrypt, I feel your pain.

I had an awfully dodgy feeling the other day when I sent in some of my OMC before and it got 1 confirmation and I could use it already, I really thought nothing more of it since I assumed allcrypt was pretty much safe, I can't believe someone really attacked it.
