Carrier unlock and password unlock - xO Triple X Ox - Feb 22, 2015 My uncle told me he has a friend that buys/sells used phones. But he usually spends around 60 to get them unlocked for any carrier. He said that if I learned how to unlock, I can make good business with his friend. Since I already know how to root, I was thinking about learning a few more things, and working with him. I would like to know: 1) Best methods to unlock (carrier) a cellphone. 2) Are there any methods to unlock a passworded phone? I've always heard people saying that even if you have a password, someone can still plug your phone into a computer and unlock the password combination. How can this be done? Thanks 👍 * - N1nj4Styl3 - Feb 23, 2015 1) Root the phone, download official stock rom de-oxed - deknoxed (if samsung) (upgraded bootloader if it's needed) 2) You can unlock a locked phone ONLY by performing a hard-reset. Google it: How to hard reset BRAND - MODEL * - xO Triple X Ox - Feb 23, 2015 So there are no ways to unlock a phone without doing a hard reset on it? * - SIM-2441041 - Feb 25, 2015 use google to find the mobile phone software CDMA tools, DFS, and QPST/QXDM software these are tools that help with getting into the core of the phone. Unlocking doesn't mean what everyone thinks unlocking means getting a phone to work on a different carrier than what its on so you have to completely reconfigure the phones frequencies and data information to whatever carrier you want. It's kind of fun but its a lot of work. I helped a friend get a Verizon Samsung S4 to work on T-mobile pay as you go service but it took me 3 months to figure it out. * - DjYummY - Feb 25, 2015 (Feb 25, 2015 02:39 AM)bkesm605 Wrote: use google to find the mobile phone software CDMA tools, DFS, and QPST/QXDM software these are tools that help with getting into the core of the phone. Do you think you could make a tutorial? I really need to ditch AT&T. |
