I've only done this once so post your feedback on how it goes!
Step 1: Make a fresh account or one that hasn't been on gold yet.
Step 2: Start the 1 month trial
Step 3: Make sure you only have one payment option, Call or Chat support regarding an issue with removing your payment option because you're giving the account away to your brother and don't want him spending anything
Step 4: Tell them you would like them to cancel the subscription and give you a 1 month code so you are able to remove the payment option and claim you are going to use it on the account once the payment option is off
Step 5: PROFIT

2.)Call/Chat Microsoft (I prefer to Call as it is Easier and Less complicated)
3.)Once you have contacted Microsoft Do billing/Account
4.)Once there and you are speaking to an Represenative say this
