Display RSS feed in a side bar - Kankroc - Mar 15, 2015 I am doing a project for my web developpement class and I want to use the RSS 2.0 feed I made and use it as a news feed on my website. It's not being hosted anywhere so I need it to take the feed directly for the rss.xml file. Is it even possible? Thank you! * - brewery - Mar 15, 2015 I'd suggest following this guide. Scroll down to near the very end titled Usage. Some Javascript will display the XML file exactly. There is an online widget that creates this dynamically for you and all you have to do is copy/paste the widget code into your HTML file. If you want to do something more custom, it's relatively easy to do with a simple PHP script (as I'm assuming you're using shared hosting). You would just run a foreach() loop to parse through all the tags in an XML file and echo them accordingly into HTML tags. tl;dr: Yes, possible. Hope this helps |
