Is it possible to dual boot from a external HDD
So when I plug it in then I can either bootcamp from it or dual boot from it?
I just dont have enough room on my SSD on my mac to do it so will this work? or is it possible?

This guide should works: http://bleeptobleep.blogspot.fr/2013/02/mac-install-windows-7-or-8-on-external.html
Windows 7 doesn't formally support being installed on an external drive for piracy reasons, which is why BootCamp doesn't support it. However, the above guide should work.
