What Do We Need? - Legion. - Apr 5, 2015
I have a free Linux VPS, and I want to do something with it for Omnicoin. And since Omni is offering those free subdomains, now is the perfect time. I'm no great coder, so I'd need someone to help with that. What do we need for OMC to succeed?

What OMC needs right now is either new projects or more powerful miners.
You could do a giveaway of it for people as long as they use it for an OMC project.

What ever happened to the plugin that would display everyone's OMC balance on their profile? I thought that could have helped somewhat.

Omni is still working on it. It will be coming at some point.

We need more people using / accepting OMC

If you mean the fact that it takes 6 confirmations before you can use the OMC then that's no big deal and is typical with any exchange, it only takes about 18 minutes normally anyways.

There's the OMC exclusives section. I don't see an auction site working, members can just post in the Member Auctions section and have OMC as the only payment method.

The only thing I can see helping OMC right now is to create a necessity for it. Omni is doing a good job of this by bringing in OMC exclusives such as the sales tags, creates a need to have OMC, in turn making people want to use it.
I tried making a product that was strictly purchasable with OMC, but as a seller it isn't wise to do so as it minimizes sales quite a lot. I use OMC as a payment OPTION but never as the sole payment method.
