ULTIMATE WIN! - Biohazard™ - Jun 12, 2010 So I made a batch file in study hall one day because I was bored. It was just a basic tool that could get info on usernames. (Command is net user <name> /domain in cmd) I put it in my network folder for safe keeping. See here for the script. A few weeks later, I got called into the office and was asked if I knew anything about a keylogger in the network (This was not me, they asked me because I am one of the top computer students in the school). They then asked me if I had done anything else related to that. I decided to be honest and show them the program which really didn't do anything that they seem to think it did. Anyways, here is the win part. They brought it up in a school board meeting as a "Massive security breach" And I got a full page story in the county newspaper. http://www.therecorderonline.com/news/2010-06-10/Top_News/Student_attempts_computer_breakin.html (Wait 3 weeks for the full story) I go to highland high school. I got in no actual trouble at the school but threatened that if I did anything like it again I would get charges filed against me. Win or not. Your opinion? tl;dr? Spoiler (Click to View) * - CyberPhunk - Jun 12, 2010 lols, quite simple yet helped you for being famous !!! win win win!!! * - JAM - Jun 12, 2010 So you have no School? Well i guess for you that's a win This is so fucking stupid.. * - Alan Fitsing - Jun 12, 2010 (Jun 12, 2010 01:34 PM)Biohazard™ Wrote: They then asked me if I had done anything else related to that. Even the evidence. * - CyberPhunk - Jun 12, 2010 (Jun 12, 2010 01:42 PM)JAM Wrote: So you have no School? Well i guess for you that's a win lols, he said he was just warned!! did ya even read this completely ?? where you got "no school" from ?? lols!! * - Dynamo! - Jun 12, 2010 winrar. Seriously though, to have nobody at the school competent enough to look at the file and know it's not a key logger, they are basically asking for it. * - kitkin15 - Jun 12, 2010 Lol its a win, your school tech/staff are morons, keyloggers are COMPLEATLY different. Next time deny everything, its not good to come clean even if you didnt do that. The batch you made could also be bad, but not a security breach. * - shadow_69_91 - Jun 13, 2010 I like it man. As my good mate kitkin15 said your schools tech and staff are idiots. I can't believe they call that a keylogger. I think this is a WIN for sure! Nice code as well. I added a suggestion for you to change one thing though but other then that it is a great batch file. Really nice job man! * - White Light - Jun 13, 2010 I filled the school with over 500 000 empty folders in about 3 minutes. Turns out, I was only about 2 minutes away from completely crashing the server that hosts the files for my school and 7 others. * - hxkd - Jun 13, 2010 That is a total win. But WTF, only for a batch file? Shit, are the people in your school even real ICT teachers? Meh, atleast in my school I am left alone and trusted :P. hxkd * - -VeX- - Jun 13, 2010 i would never recommend letting yourself be known as a "hacker" or "virus writter" or anything or the sort. Rule #1 in my book is to always remain annoymous... * - Biohazard™ - Jun 14, 2010 (Jun 13, 2010 08:34 PM)-xPloit Wrote: i would never recommend letting yourself be known as a "hacker" or "virus writter" or anything or the sort. So now the next time anything goes wrong with the network and you happen to be on a school computer guess who they are gonna bother? After high school in real life essentially it works the same way. * - Cyber Terrorist - Jun 14, 2010 LOL. You have dumbass IT managers. * - FOrms Of H4x - Jun 15, 2010 WIN! Nice one, you're famous now :D! But still, nice one XD |
