Rate my text effect/design - SGUdyr - Apr 7, 2015
I've been messing around with text effects a bit in PS, so I thought I'd post here for you guys to rate it.

Very nice, except I would not add a dark shadow, or at least that thick, considering the fill of your letters is navy blue with some strips of black. You should change the shadow length. Color is a preference that is up to you. A nice dark gray would appeal to me.

Letter and background styles are looking nice to me. As a whole it reminds me of an introduction to space ship game I played in the past. I'm really lacking some kind of dominance in the picture, your well organized letters are somehow overwhelmed by the size of the image and easily made space between important parts. Give it some kind of uniqueness.

Nice one, it's pretty decent. The only thing I'd say is to lower the opacity of the drop shadow slightly.

It needs some more work done. Remember you can add other text layers above it to look more stylish.
Also try adding some highlights to it, by simply using the brush tool and changing the blend mode/opacity of the strokes.

Never really worked as much with the brush tool, will definitely check it out.

Looks very fine, but I think you could use another font for the letters, but keep up the good work.
