Laptop changing to battery mode/ac mode on games - LanaDelRey - Apr 15, 2015
Every time I'm on a game such as csgo or wow my laptop constantly goes from ac mode/battery mode/ac mode/battery mode quite quickly (This only happens when I'm on the game, if I'm alt tabbed this does not happen).
This is really annoying because it causes my fps to drop to 10-30 when it is usually around 70. Now i bought a new charger which was a cheap knock off to see if it was my charger that was the problem and my laptop did the exact same thing. This started about 2 months ago and has gotten progressively worse. Whats wrong with my laptop? is it fucked? Thanks.

We can't really help until you give us a model number...
It could be an issue with your laptop, or it could be a feature.

If it's only when you have a game running, and no other time, it's most likely something like a "gaming mode" in one of the settings panels.
