Facebook Redesign - prada ⠀ - May 12, 2015 One of many pages I'll be creating, sharing this one and I'll update with the rest of the project. Let me know what you think, feedback is wanted. image (Click to View) * - WOLGA - May 12, 2015 It's not bad, the quality, but I hate this type of themes. * - cortz - May 12, 2015 You pretty much just copied the layout of the existing site. I wouldn't call it as much of a redesign than a reskin. With it, you also introduced a number of obvious ux issues. You should also hold off on making a mock up until you're done * - prada ⠀ - May 12, 2015 (May 12, 2015 07:37 PM)cortz. Wrote: You pretty much just copied the layout of the existing site. Can you point out some of the big issues you see? * - Scarlett Johansson - May 12, 2015 I'd go with a large Facebook logo, smaller side icons, smaller text for the languages, and put the languages under the other links, make the other links centered and perhaps separate them with hyphens? " Sign Up - Log In - Messenger - ------> (centered) Create Ad - Create Page - Keep at it mate looks pretty good so far. * - PirateSec - May 12, 2015 The facebook logo seems alitle alone. Other than that Simply an amazing work. Keep up the good work! * - cortz - May 13, 2015 (May 12, 2015 07:48 PM)Prada Wrote: Can you point out some of the big issues you see? - In the sign-up area, it make's no sense to have a repeat email box when there's no repeat password box. - No signs of account recovery options - Zero hierarchy in the layout/design, everything is the same size. - Login area up top makes absolutely no sense. - Picture of the golden gate bridge in the bg serves no purpose, also doesn't help sell the idea of 'Meet people around the world'. If you want to keep it simply due for aesthetic reasons, at least try to justify it. - Date of birth entry shows no format of how it should be entered. - Male/Female options look awkward as all hell. - etc... Other than that, there are also a number of design inconsistencies. I hope you'll be able to spend some time to figure them out and refine them yourself rather than having me spoon feed everything. As a tip, simply go through everything a few times and double check all the minor details to make sure things like wording, alignment, style..etc.. are the same throughout the whole design. * - Sunkist S0D4 - May 13, 2015 I agree with every with everyone's comments. Heres something new: I feel like the footers font size is a little too large, the footer kinda blends in with the body. Perhaps make them a little more distinguishable? * - Grin - May 13, 2015 (May 13, 2015 12:03 AM)cortz. And I wasn't asking you to spoon feed me, I just rather have someone with experience tell me the biggest issues. Sorry if you felt that way. Thanks again everyone for your feedback * - Grin - May 13, 2015 (May 13, 2015 11:16 AM)Prada Wrote: Thank you I appreciate this. What he has to say might not necessarily be the most accurate representation of your work. Don't take it too seriously. * - Savage Matt - May 13, 2015 Looks great so far man, Very clean and takes info for better marketing. Good job! * - prada ⠀ - May 13, 2015 (May 13, 2015 11:59 AM)Grin Wrote: Design is subjective. What he has to say might not necessarily be the most accurate representation of your work. I'm not at the least bit offended, I'm still trying to learn. * - LeetBrute - May 13, 2015 Plain, no flaws. amazing <3 * - Isaac Newton - May 13, 2015 Design is subjective, but then there are also basics. With time spent in designing, eyes start to immediately recognize good, bad, avg. stuff. I suggest continuous practice. Good luck. |
