Can I lie about my info when purchasing an upgrade? - Introvert - May 17, 2015
Can I provide false information (such as my name / address) when purchasing an upgrade? This is just for my own privacy concerns.

Don't do it. You pretty much just confirmed that you plan on doing it.
Your information will be completely secured unless you ever decide to chargeback a payment to Omniscient.
From then your personal information will be published for everyone to see in your signature... that's outlined in the legal policies.

No you may not. Any payments with fake information will result in your account being closed at HF. Every payment is manually inspected to check for fraud. We expect real phone numbers, addresses, and a matching IP location for the billing address. If you don't want to provide this data, then don't upgrade.

OP, yes. Someone else can buy your upgrade for you. It's done quite a bit here on HF.
