Enable the GBP symbol. - Owen.. - May 26, 2015 Hi HF. When ever I want to make a thread, it let's me put in the ££ symbol, but when the thread is published, the symbol doesn't appear. Maybe a suggestion to add that, as it's frustrating covered GBP to USD> Just a suggestion:) Good day * - Gary - May 26, 2015 ![]() What are you talking about * - Xycon - May 26, 2015 Hmm there is something weird with it yes. I just tested something, putting "€£ nbibvhvjhkvj" in a title. However, only the random letters showed up in the actual posted title, non of the symbols. I see $ working fine all the time though. I can't imagine a good reason as to why only $ works or why the others are disabled. But it would sure make a number of things easier if enabled. * - Owen.. - May 26, 2015 (May 26, 2015 09:53 PM)Gary. Wrote: The pound symbol does not work when putting it in a thread title. Wondered this for some time now. It isn't a big issue, but it would be nice to see it added:) * - Foundatons - May 26, 2015 But if GBP is implemented, then every country would want theirs too. * - Owen.. - May 26, 2015 (May 26, 2015 09:56 PM)Foundations Wrote: But if GBP is implemented, then every country would want theirs too. That could of been said by implementing the dollar sign. * - Foundatons - May 26, 2015 (May 26, 2015 09:57 PM)B0B. Wrote: That could of been said by implementing the dollar sign. Is the Dollar even implemented? Lad you know what i mean. * - Owen.. - May 26, 2015 (May 26, 2015 09:59 PM)Foundations Wrote: Is the Dollar even implemented? Lad you know what i mean. Aye scouse, its 6am, had no sleep. What exactly are you trying to say🤮 * - Xycon - May 26, 2015 (May 26, 2015 09:56 PM)Foundations Wrote: But if GBP is implemented, then every country would want theirs too. So? $ is used for US mainly, though I have sometimes see it used for Canada and Australia as well. € is used for a lot of countries in Europe. Why is there 1 symbol for 1 (3?), and not one for many others? Goes against most logic. Besides, even if all others are enabled. I highly doubt you will see them often. * - crazyycast13 - May 27, 2015 I can actually answer this. Back a year or two ago, omniscient banned special characters that weren't in the normal keyset (96) from titles as threads in the marketplace would have stars and bars in the title, and everything just looked cluttered. Why not just ask for all currency symbols (euro, yen, pound) to be whitelisted? * - Omniscient - May 27, 2015 Or you can use GBP which is what you did in this thread title. |
