I like action animes,
for so long I avoided romantic animes because they tend to become over emphasized.
I guess somehow Golden Time falls into that category too,
but this anime is very very unique, each episode have its cliff hanger.
Unlike Ah my Goddess which the MC is very very lucky,
here the MC is not the guy that every girl will love,
and cool back-story telling too.
Are there other animes like this?

I want a college leveled MCs :)
tried toradora since they were written by the same author,
its good tho I want a college leveled anime,

As far as romantic anime's go, I'm not the best at defining genres, so I may recommend some that are not considered romances on accident . honestly I think toradora is one of the better ones, along with clannad, and clannad after story. If you haven't seen. Also watch kanon (2006) , and of course anohana. Its hard to say cause most of the ones I describe are good in my mind because there really dramatic. I don't enjoy a lot of the others I've watched as much such as just romantic anime's that don't include drama. Check MAL for similarities too

Clannad is great if you haven't watched it - the first season they're in school but the second they become adults. It has lots of drama and sadness in it but is formed around romance mainly.

This. Clannad is really good, the first half is just good but after story is amazing.

Is it anywhere near the comedic sense of Golden Time?

It has its moments, especially in the first season. But, it isn't as comedic as Golden Time, it's a lot more serious.

There's alot of moments I laughed and had quite abit of fun, but it is quite sad lmao.
