Saving Frames from Twitch Stream - Dezyh - Jun 2, 2015 I'm am looking into a project involving scraping data from a Twitch stream. So far, I've worked out that Twitch returns a small list of video files, in MPEG-2 TS (.ts) format, which link together to form the stream. Does anyone know how I can extract individual frames from this MPEG-2 TS video file? Are their any libraries that will make this easier for me or do I have to do it myself? Thanks * - Josh‎ - Jun 2, 2015 ffmpeg might be able to do this. I've used it before to put a video together, and I'm sure it works the other way round. It's whether it works with the TS files. * - kraxyk - Jun 2, 2015 (Jun 2, 2015 06:46 AM)Dezyh Wrote: I'm am looking into a project involving scraping data from a Twitch stream. I would recommend you get yourself a copy of FFMPEG (command line, not GUI). Then I would use VB to interface with that command line program (simple google search). Then follow this kind of format to extract specific frames into files. Let me know if that works for you. * - Dezyh - Jun 3, 2015 Thanks for reminding me that I can use ffmpeg for this. I tested it out today with the TS files and it works perfectly. Thanks for the help. |
