So my brother wants to join HF - SourMan - Jun 6, 2015
So yeah, after many years of my brother watching me lurk HF, he finally decides that he wants to join as well. I did not let him though, I heard that if there are 2 accounts sharing the same IP, you can get banned? Is there a thread that confirms this? Should I let him make an account or would that get me banned as well?
I'm not sure if this should be in the right section either :) Sorry if it isn't

Message a staff member. Usually they'll write down an exception for you.

If anything you have to verify with the staff if your brother could make an account.

Not really, people who live in small towns in USA have a Network Tower that they all have the same IPs.

I've seen people suggest that if you have a family members joining on the same IP you can contact a Admin and they'll allow you to have more than 1 account on 1 IP without being acussed of "Multi-Accounting" I'm not 100% sure if the people who suggested this are right or not.

You will have to contact an admin to add a note to his account letting all other staff members that you two are related.
There are multiple members on here with brothers/spouse/sisters who have an HF account as well.

Contact a staff member to put a note on your accounts. The catch is though if one of you get banned, the other may get banned too. So be aware.
