Attempt at Vector Logo - Sethhe - Jul 1, 2015

Someone asked me to make me a vector logo for free. Inspired by the VP logo, how does this look?

It's pretty good imo but that font doesn't go well with the logo. 🙂

looks more like the iBuyPower logo than the VP one

the "challenge mode" text is hitting the banner in areas that make it looks disarrayed, fix that

fine apart from that.

why is everything red? would look much better with more white. also shading is really bad. text needs work, but ok job.

Yeah the placing of the text is off, the font could be improved as well.

Hi, here's what I think you can work on.

Things you did well:
- The idea. I like the idea, and I think it would look really cool if you fix the flaws.
- The shading. It's nice you tried to create some depth into the image.

What you can work on:
- The lines look jagged, as if you filled it with bucket tool. Try using Illustrator for vector type logos. (Illustrator might seem intimidating, but is easy to use once you know your way around the tools).
- The text. The text looks cramped up in it's (small) space, try using a different font or increasing the box size.

Keep it up, you'll improve a lot 🙂

Great advice by Fred. Some of your colors are going outside the lines though, here's a good Illustrator tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXGY9Q7VmU8

Use the pentool not the brush tool

It looks like your colour layers are above the outline layers on your artboard, change that and the jagged lines should go away.

I think need other colours, or more coulurs man, light gray with dark red will be better, well done :D 7/10

That text needs a lot of work.. And the colors are off aswell, the shapes are okay though.
