Iphone and Ifile - Midwestman1 - Jul 11, 2015
Hi guys!
New here, but excited to learn.
I have an iphone 4s that I acquired that i know had wins in camera roll and SMS before they were deleted and given to me.
My understanding is i can jail break it and likely recover through ifile, but I am not sure how to do it. Anyone willing to walk me through it. Will share wins

Just tell me how do you expect to recover something that doesn't exist?
And do you know what does iFile do? It's a File Manager, nothing more. Unless the files you're looking for are in a backup or an iCloud backup, you're out of luck.

If you make a backup of your iPhone, you can recover the deleted data using forensic tool to analyze the backup. Just because you delete something, that doesn't mean there still not a trace of the data within.

and w34k, that's what i need help recovering. From some research i did a while back i know even if phone is "reset" if they don't do the deep clean or something the sms and photos are still there in the directories. Just don't know how to get them

If the SMS data is from a backup or something that hasn't been written over, there's a chance you could recover it with something like Recuva or another iPhone recovery tool. If the deleted messages were on your phone, it's unlikely that they're still there as the data has more than likely been written over.
