HTML5 canvas image data - nicodemo - Jul 25, 2015 I do not want to let identify my computer to a website. it is a website where I have to vote a project that is close to my heart, and then, after the first vote, of course, does not make me vote. It is not a question of IP address because I have tried, with tor browser, changing identity..then I read this: This website (???) attempted to extract HTML5 canvas image data, which may be used to uniquely identify your computer. do you think this is the solution? how exactly is this mechanism? * - F-Nuke - Jul 25, 2015 Well, it is not always that websites are trying to identify your computer by using canvas image data. Tor is being "better safe, than sorry". But the site may actually be using canvas image data to identify you, but that is not always the case. * - nicodemo - Jul 25, 2015 I was wrong. If I turn off and on the connection, everything works perfectly. if I use Tor, then new identity, it does not work. But I have to close and restart the connection manually. there is a program that can do it, without turning on and off? |
