Cecil the lion – the most famous creature in one of Zimbabwe's national parks – was killed by an American hunter who has boasted about shooting a menagerie of animals with his bow and arrow, The Telegraph can reveal.
Walter James Palmer, a dentist from Minnesota, is believed to have paid £35,000 to shoot and kill the much-loved lion with a bow and arrow. The animal was shot on July 1 in Hwange National Park. Two independent sources have confirmed the hunter's identity to the paper, which has also seen a copy of the relevant hunting permit.

This was an ILLEGAL hunt. The money he paid was to bribe the people he needed to.
Lions are endangered and this lion in particular was very popular and attracted tons of tourists because he came close to them and tolerated their presence. Not only did this fat sack of shit kill an endangered animal illegally, but he also damaged a whole country's tourist industry.

It was Illegal due to the fact he lured the animal out of a protected area and killed it while it had a collar on. However hunting a lion is not illegal over there. As Seen Here, it costs $29 130 with the following Trophies Included: 1 Lion, 1 Gemsbok, 1 Waterbuck, 1 Black Wildebeest

for stuff like this we must love the internet, this dentist is a shame for the human race, and i'm happy to see that he really will suffer consequences. I never understood why you have to hunt just for the fun to kill. But, since it was all over the news (even in europe) this guy will have some fucked up times coming his way!
