Camera crop section - Cole - Aug 3, 2015 I have a sony a7. Its full frame. My lens can be used in full frame mode or apsc crop mode. I like the angel better in crop mode. Will using it in crop mode on my full frame lower quality? (video) thanks guys. * - Uηparaηormal - Aug 3, 2015 https://vimeo.com/84121376 Check that out. Mind somewhat answer your question * - minimalist - Aug 3, 2015 No. If you crop a section of any media - a video, an image, or an audio file - the contents within your selection to keep will stay the same. However, if you enlarge/fit-to-scale,it will obviously degrade the overall quality since the pixels are being spread out. Same as if you save it in a lossy format, an example is saving and opening a .jpeg file over and over. It will degrade. I doubt I'm reading your objectives right though. * - Denitorious - Aug 4, 2015 Well, crop mode does what it says..it takes the full picture and crops the rest out, making you go from 24mp to way less. So why not just crop in post instead of when you shoot? It will keep you away from losing out on perspective. * - Cole - Aug 4, 2015 (Aug 4, 2015 05:19 AM)Denitorious Wrote: Well, crop mode does what it says..it takes the full picture and crops the rest out, making you go from 24mp to way less. When I film in crop I like the angle way better, in full it's just too wide angle... * - jdang - Aug 4, 2015 Using it in crop mode will lower video quality * - Denitorious - Aug 4, 2015 (Aug 4, 2015 05:53 AM)Σxile Wrote: When I film in crop I like the angle way better, in full it's just too wide angle... All depends on the lens and its focal length. * - Cole - Aug 4, 2015 (Aug 4, 2015 08:13 AM)Denitorious Wrote: All depends on the lens and its focal length.
