chrome taking too much processes - Crak3r2 - Aug 18, 2015 hey i would like to know if it is normal for chrome to be taking up multiple processes at the same time for each tab i open on chrome it seems to consume more processing power and i don't understand is this normal or what because i dont seem to get the same problem with other browsers * - PirateSec - Aug 18, 2015 It's most probably cause you're using multiple plugins for your browser. * - Crak3r2 - Aug 18, 2015 well yes i am using multiple plugins however i blieve that they may be something more because every time i open a new tab 2 new processes appear in the task manager which is utilizing alot of RAM and i dont like that looks like ill have to remove the plugins * - webdev77 - Aug 18, 2015 Each tab in chrome runs as a separate process to prevent the entire browser from crashing if one thread crashes. This is normal. * - Crak3r2 - Aug 18, 2015 okay thanks needed to know that because i hadn't noticed that chrome did this before just recently started lookinng into the services that my machine was running i thanks both of you for helping me clear this up * - wwejustin94 - Aug 26, 2015 It takes too much if you're using a lot of plugins. * - Heulen - Aug 26, 2015 Google Chrome is know to hog resources too, if it's using too much in your personal opinion, try switching browsers. * - Layout - Sep 2, 2015 If you have much ram, you don't have to worry. * - Dantyz - Sep 3, 2015 Switch to chromium is an easy way to lower the amount of ressources used if im right ? At least it work for me, im using at least -30%, and i kept my settings ;) |
