Where to learn virus removal/white hat hacking - Motiv - Aug 19, 2015 So I've dabbled in a couple areas in blackhat things, but it's just not for me. I'm more interested in getting rid of the virus rather than creating it. I was hopin there was a good place to learn virus removal and protection. I know there's a forum page called malwarehelp or something like that that offered lessons on HF, but their classroom is full. If anybody has any good places or tips, let me know. Thanks! * - Machiavellian101 - Aug 19, 2015 Keep searching and you will eventually find. Sorry but that's all I can give you. * - Motiv - Aug 19, 2015 (Aug 19, 2015 03:53 PM)Ekmete Wrote: Keep searching and you will eventually find. Sorry but that's all I can give you. Thanks, I'll holy him a PM with some encouraging words. * - Th3PonyWizard - Aug 19, 2015 My reply comes from zero knowledge about malware removal, take it with a grain of salt. Pickup Windows Essentials (Sixth Edition best) Learn Networking on a good level - OSI model, monitoring networking, using wireshark etc download documentation on popular malware and see it's breakdown, then learn how malware operate - how does things like registry, services, drivers, kernel, runtime, ::DATA stream, processes, memory, storage types etc etc etc all come together and contribute in malicious development. Learning Assembly/C is a huge bonus. * - ninen2001 - Aug 20, 2015 How I learned how to remove almost all RATs was to just download them from for example YouTube onto a VM (since there are many fake cheats that are RATs there) and tried to remove them with the little knowledge I had. Just trial and error. I guess this would work for most malware. Just download to a VM and try for while. I know this is not the best way to learn to become a professional but works. |
