Help in converting .EXE to .SCR - DarkEvolution - Aug 23, 2015
Hello im looking for a method on how to convert a RAT file which is .exe to be converted to .scr so its more trusted and more people will open the file, if there is a better method like being able to change a .exe file to .pgn file and for the RAT to still function correctly i would like some advice

You are looking for file spoofing
File conversion is not a good method and will cause errors or issues most of the time in the final build
You can use the charmap tool to select the reverse string char
This will allow you to make the file look like its a jpg or png or anything you want but will still be executed as a exe file.
There are also pre-built tools that automate this just search the forums for a file spoofer

Just rename the file... there is no need to spoof the file to another form of binary executable.
Or better yet, save it as a .scr to begin with.🤝

Create a exe the loads a avi movie and opens it with systems default player...
Bind this exe that plays a avi movie to your exe..
Use file spoofing to spoof the file from a exe into a avi
Use a icon changer to change its icon to a avi symbol
Now the user sees it as a .avi file and when double clicking it it does what it should.

I did not understand your method, sorry to ask, but can you rephrase? or explain it to dumb it down for me.
I cannot simply change the file's name or edit, i've tried resource hacker but the file changes .scr.exe and looks suspicious.

You change the extention from exe to scr, just enable all extentions, rename file.exe to file.scr, no program needed ;)

Here is a 1337 tutorial on making a .exe a .scr.
Right click a .exe. Rename it from whatever.exe to whatever.scr.
BOOM. HAX BRO.

Good job, you might want to read my previous message, let me repeat my self, it is not compatible for me to just be able to rename it, it's not as simple as that, that's why i started this post in the first place.

Im using windows 8 but the file cannot be just simply renamed.
