If you are new to Omnicoin, please Visit the Omnicoin Project Wiki for download links and a guide on getting started. You can also visit the Omnicoin subforum on HF.

All upgraded members who add an address to their account will get a 100 OMC bonus from Omni.

This plugin, developed by Abraham Lincoln and myself (MeshCollider), and was modified by Omniscient before being installed on Hack Forums. This is a tutorial on how to use it. Feel free to post below if you have trouble.

Getting started
Head to coins.php to get started, from there you will be able to:
  • Search for omnicoin addresses on other users profiles
  • Add a new address to your profile
  • View your / another users address history
  • See the top 10 richest members on HF
  • See the 10 most recent members to add an address to their profiles

Adding an address
Click the 'Add Address' button in the top right hand corner of the page [Image: V6zuhSk.png]
You will see something similar to this:

Type in your Omnicoin address in the 'Address' field (e.g. mine is oMesh62joeab2yMoJUH28mGE8h2suDzcYc). You then need to prove you own the address by using it to 'sign' the message provided. This message is unique to you because it uses your username and UID. Instructions for signing the address are below:

If you are using the Omnicoin-qt wallet:
  1. Open Omnicoin-qt
  2. Head to the 'Receive Coins' tab

  3. Select the address you want to use and click the sign message button
  4. If your wallet is encrypted, you will need to type in your password
  5. Copy your unique message from hack forums into the message box and sign it

  6. Copy the new signature into the 'signature' box on hackforums

  7. Done :)

If you are using Omnicha.in/wallet online wallet:
  1. Log in to your wallet
  2. Head to the 'Receive' tab
  3. Next to your address, click the 'sign message' button

  4. Copy and paste your unique message into the box and sign it

  5. Copy the 'generated signature' you are given into the 'signature' box on hack forums
  6. Done :)

Viewing other users' addresses and history
This can be used for safer trading in the marketplace, because transactions with that address are directly linked to users HF profiles forever.
Once an address has been added to your profile, it will be visible like this:

Clicking on the address will take you to Omnicha.in block explorer to see information about the address including transactions.
Clicking on [History] will show you the user's address history and the dates the addresses were added.
You can see the balance of the address on the profile. This balance is updated once per hour if someone visits the users profile.
UserCP and Coins.php will show your own address information.

Searching addresses
https://hackforums.net/coins.php gives you the ability to search omnicoin addresses to see if it belongs to a user. The search box looks like this:

Viewing the Top 10
Coins.php also gives you a list of the top 10 richest Omnicoin users on the forum. The list looks like this:

Down the bottom of the page you can also see some statistics such as the total sum of all the balances in the addresses added, and how many addresses have been verified by all members.

I tried adding my address, which was on Omnichain, and it kept saying that it's an invalid signature. I'll guess I'll have to try it with Omnicoin-QT.

EDIT:
It works fine with Omnicoin-QT but it doesn't exactly work with Omnicha.in. Weird.

Are you using an online omnichain wallet? Please see the post above your's, something is wrong with the omnichain address signing.

Check back later to see if the issue has been fixed. Only Abe can fix it though, so it will only be done when he has time.

I really hope omnicoin stays afloat , wish more people used it.
Sadly most go to BTC , ltc or doge , I personally loved the OMC market , going to keep supporting it nonetheless

The other benefit is that then you won't have to put your address in your signature, it can be easily found on your profile :)
