Careful with paypal phishing emails. - coco69 - Sep 6, 2015 So this morning I logged into my email to see a message supposedly from paypal. I open the message and this is what I see. Spoiler (Click to View) I immediately think I might be ratted so I log in from my phone and change my password. (My bank account is linked to my paypal so I was very concerned) after reviewing the email I press down to check the sender and I immediately know its a phishing email. not sure why it says it sent the email to itself and I got it. also the verify now button links to this site. Spoiler (Click to View) Careful with the site that's what the email links too. * - Tyler - Sep 6, 2015 One thing to remember with PayPal...if they send you an email, they address you by your first and last name. * - $Brandan$ - Sep 6, 2015 Got this email also, ridiculous for people to think we're stupid enough to click the link🤗🤝 However, thanks for the heads up. * - Black Kodak - Sep 6, 2015 (Sep 6, 2015 09:20 AM)Arkaden Wrote: Got this email also, ridiculous for people to think we're stupid enough to click the link🤗🤝The sad thing is, people do click the link. * - zero5 - Sep 6, 2015 Lol it even says PayPal would always address you by your firstname and your lastname in the footline of the phishing mail. * - coco69 - Sep 6, 2015 (Sep 6, 2015 09:18 AM)Tyler Wrote: One thing to remember with PayPal...if they send you an email, they address you by your first and last name. Thanks for the info... I honestly did not know that. I have had paypal for over 3 years and never noticed. * - Yetiii - Sep 6, 2015 This is some next level shady shit * - Zezka - Sep 6, 2015 Be extremely cautious when it comes to these type of emails and you'll be fine. * - crown - Sep 6, 2015 The sender of that email was dumb-as-fuck to have included the bottom part. If someone were to read that, they'd probably go back up and look for their first and last name. I received a phishing email saying that my PayPal had been limited once, and boy did I fall for it. After some time, I realized that I had been fooled. * - $Brandan$ - Sep 6, 2015 (Sep 6, 2015 10:29 AM)Theorus Wrote: The sender of that email was dumb-as-fuck to have included the bottom part.
