Buying bad seo for competitor? - audiodino - Sep 16, 2015 So there's a bunch of 'cocky' guys that have started up a website with the same name as mine, aiming at the same audience, in the same country.. so i was wondering what if i was to buy a load of cheap backlinks and some fake/bad seo packages based on their website url, is this going to damage my keywords/ranking/help them get boosted up, or will this work to plan and get them noticed as 'cheating' by Google? In know in the past when I bought cheap backlinks my website was eventually eradicated from Google searches. * - IAmA-GOAT - Sep 17, 2015 There have been recent case studies of this on other forums. They indicated no negative movement from spamming: low quality backlinks with badly spun content, and low anchor text diversity - short term. Long term maybe you can get them penalized, but I doubt it as google has released a few updates to block negative SEO quite well. * - audiodino - Sep 17, 2015 I guess I just have to keep fighting the game then putting my hope into Yoast. The thing is they weren't even a page 1 result, and suddenly they're now ranked 2nd on page 1, and their description and meta data is displaying content from their rss feed, so god knows how they're still managing considering how they don't really have a major use of the keyword on site. * - Websitedesigner - Sep 17, 2015 Best thing to do I'd say is DDOS there site, keep doing it. There site will loose rankings as its always down. Simple :) * - audiodino - Sep 18, 2015 I guess thats one solution.. but an expensive one as i imagine you would need a good couple of days/weeks attacking it to see results. I know its a bit of shitty route, but they only bought the .com tld (weirdly) so i went ahead and purchased .co.uk, .uk, .net .info and .org and applied redirects on all of them to my address. * - Insane Developer - Sep 20, 2015 Contact me through skype (haigiang7) I will help you blast bad links at them. * - Sunstrikes - Sep 21, 2015 Fight fair and offer a better service, if you offer similar things.. one of you will fall. Or boot there site offline as long as you can * - ether2 - Sep 21, 2015 Why would you invest time and money into someone elses business and not your own? I know your hacked off that these cocky guys have the same name as you but everything else you pointed out is exactly the same problem that every business faces. Same audience, same products, same country, same keywords etc. All I can say is welcome to ecommerce! If there in a better position than you in the serps, first action to take is to steal all of their backlinks. When you have as many as their backlinks as you can get, find even stronger ones to outrank them. If they have strong social profiles, steal all of their hard work, grab their twitter followers, advertise to their facebook fans After that make sure your descriptions are far superior than their descriptions with strong calls to actions. Get out of the negative zone because it will kill your business fast. Build credibility on your site, make your site look and feel 10 times better than theirs does. If the name isn't registered get it registered fast and they will have to change their name. Think smart... If you do bad seo on someones site, who's to say it won't happen to you? You can't run your business effectively with negative energy surounding you! Ecommerce is pretty hardcore, you really need to keep your wits about you. You should be thinking about the types of promotions you should run without getting into price wars. You should be thinking about how you can raise your brands profile so that pricing issues are irrelavant. You should be thinking about your own marketing strategies and how to maximize every visitor that comes to your site. These thoughts and actions are what will make your business a success! * - audiodino - Sep 21, 2015 thanks for the comments guys, just so we're all clear it's more of a 'streaming' site. Im not selling products, so its more me putting money into it as a visionary. I'll try some of the tips though :) * - focuss - Sep 22, 2015 I do not recommend buying bad SEO for competitors. In my opinion is it very unethical and it's like your going backwards in your success.... Money and time would be better off spent building your audience even greater :) * - qwerty666666 - Sep 22, 2015 instead of buying bad backlinks why not buy good backlinks for yourself |
