Buying backlinks, likes or any of that sorts is not a good idea. Optimize your website (content and images), be active on forums and blogs, social networks, etc. Buying those wonćt solve anything in the long run.

Everything comes naturally and it's quite hard to trick google. Moreover, don't just focus on google's page rank, always check what for example MOz statistics says about your website, also check alexa from time to time. Rich content, nicely written SEO and website's clean code should help you grow and reach more and more organic traffic.

PR is really no longer that important; but i increased my blog PR by just keep updating content and get into social media (pinterest/instagram particularly)
