PC Cleaner? - SuaveCrouton - Oct 3, 2015 Does anyone know of any good free PC Cleaner software? * - TBE ClockWork - Oct 3, 2015 CCleaner is pretty good for being free * - Ellie Goulding - Oct 3, 2015 (Oct 3, 2015 04:29 PM)KingBrowser Wrote: CCleaner is pretty good for being free The only downside for me that I had a problem with is that I get the VAC error after using CCleaner then playing CSGO :( * - TheTurboEngineers - Oct 3, 2015 (Oct 3, 2015 04:35 PM)Ellie Goulding Wrote: The only downside for me that I had a problem with is that I get the VAC error after using CCleaner then playing CSGO :( Using CCleaner myself, never had that problem. Tested it and everything. Haven't used it in a couple months, VAC error free since then :) * - ITEngineer - Oct 3, 2015 CCleaner should be used with caution, as it can still delete things of your system that's not suppose to. When running CCleaner its a good idea to pay close attention to what its about to delete. Especially, when deleting keys from the Registry. I always pay close attention to the keys, that are about to be deleted. If I see a key that shouldn't be deleted, I immediately uncheck the box that corresponds to that particular registry key. * - ZuGgY - Oct 3, 2015 CCleaner for sure. Been using it for a long time, I think since it came out, it's great. * - SuaveCrouton - Oct 3, 2015 (Oct 3, 2015 07:29 PM)ITEngineer Wrote: CCleaner should be used with caution, as it can still delete things of your system that's not suppose to. Yeah, I realized I deleted most of my browser cache, which means I have to reset google as my default search engine and chrome no longer remembers my login info for various sites. * - ITEngineer - Oct 3, 2015 (Oct 3, 2015 07:35 PM)SuaveCrouton Wrote: Yeah, I realized I deleted most of my browser cache, which means I have to reset google as my default search engine and chrome no longer remembers my login info for various sites. Next time you use CCleaner, make sure, you create a backup of your registry. Also, its very important to keep an image of your system current. You can use the Windows built in Backup/Restore feature to create it for you. I've had issues in the past, where my system would not boot up at all. Likely, I had created an image of my system and was able to recover from it. * - Kɴᴏᴡʟᴇᴅɢᴇ - Oct 3, 2015 When you're cleaning your system, be sure to uncheck browser cookies, because cookies keep you logged in, also uncheck cache, as it is what saves your password while logging into a website. It will clean the rest of your computer, if you don't want it to clean your browser, just leave your browser open while cleaning and it will ask if you want to clean it, say no. * - ImTonyStark - Oct 4, 2015 (Oct 3, 2015 04:35 PM)Ellie Goulding Wrote: The only downside for me that I had a problem with is that I get the VAC error after using CCleaner then playing CSGO :(cuz ccleaner is a third party program, and csgo doesn't allow third party programs, might be that. * - Esme - Oct 4, 2015 CCleaner as others have mentioned, JetClean and TFC are also great tools. * - Fylke - Oct 13, 2015 ccleaner is pretty much the only legit one that gets the job done. * - Freebooter - Oct 14, 2015 Temp File Cleaner (TFC) is a small utility that will clean out all the folders on your computer that house temporary files. The temp folders that TFC will clean are the Java, Windows Temp Folder, and the Internet Explorer, Opera, Chrome, and Safari caches. This tool will clean the folders for all accounts on the computer including the Administrator, NetworkService, and LocalService accounts. |
