30gb per month problem - gregecmaregec - Oct 10, 2015 Hello there Need help with something. I've been here for quite some time now, and I do understand that you are by no means a personal hacking army, or someone who is willing to pass me information (at least not for free). But I'd appreciate if someone will help me out I am limited to 30gb per month usage when it comes to my internet. I'm talking the home wifi and ethernet connections, not mobile. But they are both using a router on the top of our house, a zte 4g. And the thing is, they count how much data I use and when that counter hits 30gb, internet speeds down to 10kbps. My question is, is there anyway to bypass this? If I set up a VPN maybe? Will a Proxy help? If someone is going to deliver an answer, I am willing to give him/her some money. Best regards * - Ubryx - Oct 10, 2015 I highly doubt a VPN/proxy would help. Even if you try using one of those, you will still be sending out data to the service, and that will be added on to your monthly usage. VPNs/proxies are mainly used (in situations in which the person is having issues with their ISP) for removing data limit speeds to certain services, for example, YouTube. Your situation is unique, however, but I still doubt it would work. Imagine a teenager telling his mother he's going to the theatre with a group of friends, but in reality, he's going to his girlfriend's house. His mother knows he is gone; she just doesn't know where he is. She thinks she does, but in reality he is in a different place entirely. * - The Slayer - Oct 10, 2015 you cannot bypass this with DNS/gateway or IP changes, its the actual line lol * - gregecmaregec - Oct 10, 2015 I see what you mean. However I had a scenario where I used 30gb of internet in the first few days, and than went all in. I can track my data usage trough a site. And I saw that I still had full internet speed at 100gb of usage. It slowed down a few days after thay. However last month the moment I've hit 30gb the internet speed slowed down. Forgot to mention was this: I can use the internet once it slows down however much I want without extra fees, but I am limited to 10kbps. If I was to find a way to take that speed back to normal, That would be terrific. * - skelly76 - Oct 10, 2015 Nah sadly you can't pass this. You could like steal your neighbors WiFi or something though. * - Demporus - Oct 10, 2015 You could probably pay for a VPN service using algorithms with compression to increase how much net you can use, but you'll always hit your data cap, you should pay for a better connection. * - gregecmaregec - Oct 10, 2015 I'll (probably) get unlimited connection for the same price in February. The problem is that I live far from the city, and satellite connection is my only option, but they promised to make my internet unlimited, but I doubt it will happen since they got a rebrand, a different CEO and all. * - Demporus - Oct 10, 2015 Yeah you're out of luck unless you have contacts within the city nearby you could probably setup a radio beacon which requites a bit of knowledge of networking and radio, but it's feasible at a range of a couple kms. * - Temp_uid_2552169 - Oct 10, 2015 (Oct 10, 2015 01:06 PM)gregecmaregec Wrote: use neighbors wifi * - RelationShit - Oct 10, 2015 Your internet gets throttled by your provider/ISP. See this as omni banning you from HF. Can you do anything about it? Not so much. You can try though. Try a DNS change and VPN and maybe even tor browser Maybe their systems are idiotic Edit: If this does not work your last method to try is router hacking? But idk how all that works. Basically hacking your own router/box thing for hidden features and settings and what not * - Lizard. - Oct 10, 2015 Proxies and VPNs just mask your IP and keep you anonymous. Keep in mind this all hosted on the actual server / line. Accessing this line is not possible unless you work for them. You can probably hack into your neighbors wifi using Kali Linux. IF they have better connection than you, of course. But, they can still see who's connected so name your PC their last name. You can always upgrade your plan but money's tight for some people. If you every do find a way to exploit one, tell me lawl. Any who, good luck sir. * - Temp_uid_2552169 - Oct 10, 2015 (Oct 10, 2015 05:35 PM)RelationShit Wrote: Your internet gets throttled by your provider/ISP.yea * - gregecmaregec - Oct 11, 2015 (Oct 10, 2015 05:32 PM)XuidDump Wrote: use neighbors wifi thanks a lot mate, haven't thought of that at all! did i mention i live in quite an isolated area? Thanks for the reply tho Also, you recommended that I use Kali to hack wifi, may I be told the name of the application? Are you talking about John to crack the wifi password? Aircrack? Third party application maybe? * - Bagel - Oct 11, 2015 Why do you even have 30gb/m INTERNET? Can you not afford unlimited? and how do you even get 30 gb home network? That doesn't even exist here. Least home network data you can get is 200gb/m * - RelationShit - Oct 11, 2015 (Oct 11, 2015 04:22 PM)Bagel Wrote: Why do you even have 30gb/m INTERNET? Unlimited just means a lot, and then you get slowed down so much that you can't even load an image in a minute. But you'll still have Internet, that's "unlimited" And lowest here is something like 30-50 probably. And 100-200 gb for maybe 100-200€ a month Shit's expensive |
