MD5 Cracker Tool - JaINTP - Oct 19, 2015

Someone posted asking about bruteforcing without a wordlist, which obviously annoyed me to no end,
and I went on to tell the person that Bruteforcing didn't use a word list, but instead recursively
generates a string starting only with a single character and adding to it's length from there, going through
every possible combination.

Anywho, the conversation went on and I mentioned that I'd written a tool back in the day which used recursion
to crack MD5 passwords. The Über member Hackin said to hit him up when I finally found it again,
which I have just uploaded.

So I thought I'd fix up any errors and share it here.

This script supports three methods of cracking an MD5 hash. Dictionary, Bruteforce and ODS (Online Databas Search).

Usage can be requested using the --help command line parameter.

Basic test for the script's Bruteforce mode is as follows.
PHP Code

<?php
MD5Check
.py -t -s bruteforce -l 5 in.txt out.txt
This will create a test in file and will output the results to the given output file.

Basic test for the script's Dictionary mode is as follows.
PHP Code

<?php
MD5Check
.py -t -s dictionary dictionary.txt in.txt out.txt

Basic test for the script's Online mode is as follows.
PHP Code

<?php
MD5Check
.py -t -s online in.txt out.txt

Please keep in mind that this script may use a second thread to perform the bruteforcing, but it is in no way multi-threaded, nor optimised.

Please read the readme file :)

Although I don't suppose I'll ever use it(for bruteforce and dictionary cracking I use John, for online search my own script), I had look at the code and it looks pretty neat. You're with only a bit of exaggeration first Python programmer on HF to correctly (and sensibly) use OOP. Also it's best commented code I have ever seen here, most people here could learn a lot from it(won't happen, but one can hope).

I come from line of men who don't do anything without going overboard, and with C++ being my first language, I had OOP smashed into me at every turn, hence my "slightly over exaggerated" approach to OOP here :p

Commenting should not only be thorough for the sake of others, but it helps you remember everything at a later date. It's structured in such a way, that I'll be able to use it as a framework at a later date, replacing my output code to a file object which will allow me to work with user interfaces of any kind. At least, that was my original goal haha

Glad you enioyed the read.

It has very basic input and the help command explains everything. Just save it to a Python file and run it via the command line.
