[Google's Project Zero]New google chrome hack/malware/virus found? - kmz22222 - Nov 6, 2015

So i saw someone in a facebook group saying:
Hey guys please help me,i clicked on a link and i can't surf the internet via google chrome anymore.
and he put a picture saying:
Error, A hacker might be trying to steal your information.
Whatever page he opens,it keep saying the same thing.
So i think what happened is:
The hacker installed something on google chrome via a link.[Probably an add-on or an extension]
That resulted in:
-The victim not being able to surf the internet.
-If the victim fixes the error and surfed the internet, some information will go to the hacker.
How to prevent that from happening?
So i've discoverd a way.
If you see a suspicous link do the following:
Use this: http://cachedview.com/
Why?
Because it makes you see the webpage safely without making you to access it.
its like viewing a webpage before actually entering it.
Try it urself! enter a website and see the results.

Hope this was useful.

Not really,
The user explained that it downloaded something in his chrome which have resulted in that.
Also what he provided is only 1 picture so i can't tell what in the actual fuck happened to him.

1. user clicks link
2. it launches some sort of exploit (flash or java probably)
3. computer is now infected, disable browser and or anti-virus
4.???
5. PROFIT!

why would you doubt that? Chrome has vulnerabilities just like any browser.... http://community.hpe.com/t5/Security-Research/Pwn2Own-2015-Day-Two-results/ba-p/6722884#.VQx9hahViko

because it's owned by google and they spend millions on developing chrome, also just because i doubt it has any right now that doesn't mean it has none...

They can spend as much they want. Chrome still gets pwned every year at pwn2own. Yes it is the most secure browser, doesn't mean though it is immune to exploits....
