(BIG PROBLEM) MY Windows Installer Folder is Missing! Cannot Update or Install/Uninst - Sigma - Nov 9, 2015

So for some reason my Windows Installer folder is missing and I cannot update or uninstall/install anything to my computer. I was hit by viruses and got rid of them I believe but it did damage and idk how to fix it.

There's an easy fix. Open an admin command prompt and run this:
Code
sfc /scannow

not sure about win 10 but as tchami said open your cmd and type that in if that doesn't work you could always try sys restore if you remember when the folder went missing or you could just reinstall the os if you don't mind losing you data

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.
  • Right click to run as administrator (XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File). When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.

  • Press Scan button.

  • It will produce a log called FRST.txt in the same directory the tool is run from.

  • Please copy and paste this log into http://pastebin.com/ and post the URL here.

  • The first time the tool is run it generates another log (Addition.txt - also located in the same directory as FRST.exe/FRST64.exe). Please also paste that along with the FRST.txt into your reply, using http://pastebin.com

Did sfc /scannow and it says that I have corrupted files but it does not fix them or tell me which ones.
