I have one of my final high-school exams tomorrow, any tips? - Skumzy - Nov 11, 2015

Hey guys, so I'm in my second to last year of high school at the moment and I'm taking a Year 12 subject this year (IT: Software Development). My final exam is being held tomorrow and it's worth around 50% of my final grade for the subject. Since I know some of you have already graduated from high school and university already, do you have any tips for me?

Thanks in advance!

I'd suggest getting a good nights rest and eating a hearty breakfast. Good luck and remember if you get stuck on a question, skip it and come back to it later.

I'm in Melbourne, Australia. Over here all of our exams are held either mid-year (June/July) or at the end of the year (October/November).

Yea I've definitely thought of question-answering strategies like the ones you mentioned. Luckily the exam's at 3pm so I have time to revise beforehand and have a nice meal :P
Thanks for the advice!

Stress can be good.

Anyways, if you studied and practice, you will do fine.

Study a week or two before the exam. Then do slight reviews each day. Sleep well. Eat well. Stay mentally stable. Stay happy. the worst part is when u blank out in the middle of a test, haha

Get some caffeine beans, even if you aren't tired it helps alot with concentration and speed!

I may have procrastinated a bit too long but I don't think all hope is lost XD
I can't remember the last time I've blanked out during a test or exam but hopefully it doesn't happen tomorrow! XD

Mate I'm sitting this same exam tomorrow. No one here is going to be able to help you. :')

Hit up some Mark Kelly notes ;)

My tip is to always study to the point of superior confidence. To the point in which you fully believe you did everything you could and put it your all.

Nice to see a fellow VCE student on HF! Yea, I learned more from vceit.com than my own teacher, so glad it's all free!

That's a good strategy, I'll have to keep that in mind for next year so I don't screw myself over entirely haha
