Arrests in Japan for providing scanned One Piece ch's - cortz - Nov 13, 2015
3 Men Arrested for Uploading One Piece Chapter to English Website
Quote:While the report did not specify the website, it mentions that the site illegally hosts over 4,000 manga translated into English. According to the source, the illegally scanned and uploaded One Piece chapter was available on the site on October 29, four days before the issue hit store shelves.

And this, is why you shouldn't complain that your chapter is a day late, because you're getting it 4 days earlier than it being sold in Japan.

Sad about this, one of them (or more?) was the raw provider for ImperialScans so now they're a dead group.

at least that's the rumor. it's not exactly the reason why they closed though. their statement is on their website.
can't comment anymore on that topic. 🤝
anyways, not sure how the other groups will react to that, it'll take some time for the scare/confusion to clear..
