THE IDEA I HAD FOR A BATCH FILE HAS BEEN CODED AND IS FINISHED🤗🤗🤗🤗
A few days ago i asked myself if there was any was I could mimic SSD startup speed without buying an SSD.
I wondered how I could use this new language I'm learning (batch) to accomplish this, so I decided to disable all startup apps, and move my shortcuts into a folder
Therefore, they wouldn't be loaded on startup.
If I sound like I am overhyping this too much, I probably am, but this was the first actual program I have made in which i have had an idea turned into reality without just copying a book or copying concepts.
Basically it just moves shortcuts out of a file and on to my desktop, then runs all startup applications, or in the manual option you can send back the files to the folder (so that they aren't on the desktop for the next startup) or just start up startup applications.
SOOOOO
Here's the final results:

(I didn't bother posting the program startup fuction)
the code mind you i took many chunks of code out because it exceeded the 8000 count!!!!
(DONT COPY/PASTE, not only is there not all of the code, it will only work for my computer)

I plan in the future to update this with more batch graphics and more sections etc. basically to make it a huge batch file with many purposes.

Couldn't just use *.ink instead of adding and of your shortcuts to the batch file?

what do you mean?

move /-y "C:\Users\chris_000\Desktop\Desktop Shortcuts\*.ink" "C:\Users\chris_000\Desktop"
This will copy all .ink files from "Desktop Shortcuts" to desktop instead of having to add a line for each shortcut.

[size=medium]A few days ago i asked myself if there was any was I could mimic SSD startup speed without buying an SSD. Well your concept has a fault as you cannot mimic SSD startup speed in any where close to SSD speed with HDD storage drive its good idea to manage startup programs but even you disable all startup programs you will never make Windows boot faster then Windows booting from SSD drive.
