Samsung Galaxy Note - Boot loop - donethatbeenthere - Dec 9, 2015

Hey guys,
My Galaxy Note has some issues:

Boot loop
Can't connect to PC
Not charging

I've tried:

Factory restore
Installing drivers on PC
Charging with its original cable

It is not rooted, and I don't even know what to do anymore. Help will be appreciated.

Note *haha*: I don't know very much about Android, but I know basic stuff like getting into Recovery mode etc.

Connect it to pc in download mode and flash the firmware using odin

What exynos said is almost the only way...

But my PC won't recognize the phone, and when I try to get into Download Mode it says that the battery is too low, I've tried taking the battery out and charging it with a battery charger (not using the phone itself)

Install the drivers for your device on pc
it should detect it

Try getting the ADB drivers working: see here.

I can now recognize the phone. I've tried the stock roms with Odin but it says FAIL!. Am I doing something wrong? The phone is not rooted.

Which exact model do you have?
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 N910....? the dots are to be replaced with F, N, K, C, S, L whatever is your type.

I guess it's a Galaxy Note 1. (N7000)

Yes, I think so: N7000XXLT5_N7000XXLT3_N7000XENLT1_HOME.tar.md5

I am from the Netherlands, phone bought in the Netherlands too.

You'll have the N910F (Europe) edition most likely in that case. I'll search for a stock ROM.

Edit: There's KIES from Samsung to update/flash software.
Here's a mirror for stock ROMs for the latest update (November 2015). It should give you Lolipop 5.1.1.
Seeing you already have ODIN there's no need for a link to that I guess.

These tools should be able to help you out, if not there's more going on and we'll need more details regarding the possibility to send it in for repairs.
