[STEAM] Safe chargeback/refund method? - Bӏue - Dec 19, 2015

I have a thought, Steam have the bullshit policy of not refunding people when games don't work. My specs meet the requirements of quite a few games which just don't run on any of my PC's, mainly down to shitty ports and incompetent developers.

Ive had times before where some random has offered me a free game, and upon taking it and playing it for a while I suddenly get a message saying the game has been removed due to an issue on their part, either carded or they charged back or something.

I've heard before that if you chargeback on steam they might close your account. So I was thinking, if I create a new account with a VPN and buy a game, then gift it to my main account, if that shit doesn't work, could I charge back on the first account getting a refund and then not suffer any consequences on my main account?

Incase you are wondering, this isnt about trying to get free games or carding/fraud, this is legit trying to get a refund for a product that doesn't work. I'm Stuck with BO3 not getting past the fucking loading screen.

Quote:You can request a refund for nearly any purchase on Steam—for any reason. Maybe your PC doesn't meet the hardware requirements; maybe you bought a game by mistake; maybe you played the title for an hour and just didn't like it.

I've gotten refunds for quite a few games using this, even while putting down retarded reasons. I'm not really sure what your issue is.

Oh shit, I never realised that. Is that a new change in Policy?
I've used Steam for a long time and tried to get refunds before and they said they have a no refund policy. The issue I get with games isn't common so it has been a long time since I asked for a refund.

I believe so. I've put down reasons like "this game sucked dick", and got instantly refunded. As long as you don't play over an hour (?), they'll refund you.

I've refunded tons of games. I beilieve if your play time is less than 2 hours you can refund.

Refunds only came in earlier this year. I think it was something influenced around Australia cause of our policies that we need to be offered refunds or something.

I think it's 2-3 hours.

Because until the replies on this thread notified me, I thought Steam as before didn't give refunds under any circumstance. They have changed that now...
