Gift cards with $5 on them at stores you know are more expensive than their competitors and stores you know your worst enemy would never buy anything from. They'll feel more and more pressured to spend their gift cards as the expiration date on said cards gets closer and closer... Eventually, they'll have to decide whether to loose more than $5 by purchasing something they wouldn't have wanted to purchase in the first place just so they can spend their giftcard, or be left with the feeling that they lost money by not purchasing anything, when in reality they would've lost more if they had purchased anything.
Regardless of what they do, they'll either be left with something they didn't want which they paid for mostly out of their own pocket, or be left feeling like they lost money.
Beware though, this is so evil even your worst enemy probably doesn't deserve it.
