6.5 Year Feedback Thread - By Inveno (AKA Phire nuk3r)

Suitable music for thread (seems this is what the cool kids are doing):

Hi there, HackForums members, after 6.5 years of being on here, I've finally decided to make a feedback thread
discussing my thoughts and concerns, as well as my many positive experiences here.

How I Came Across HackForums
Back in the days, I used to be an avid online poker player and was pretty amazed at how I could play poker virtually against other players;
I continued to play until I took a pretty big hit and lost over $2.5K, which was a lot to me at the time and I was pretty desperate to get it back,
so I began looking for online hacks for the poker software I was using (IT WASN'T SKIDDY IN THOSE DAYS!!!) and quickly found
HackForums.net, however, there was no avail. I gave up on looking for these hacks and slowly but surely started becoming
more and more involved with the community.

My Time On HackForums
As I became more and more involved with the community, I formed a tight bond with Omniscient and we used to talk quite a lot, I was promoted to staff in mid 2010
and I was liked within the community. I helped a lot of users with PHP, as well as personal problems, I also helped to clear out a bunch of asswipes from the forum too, lol...

I had a little bit of a falling out with Omni and was demoted, however, we made up after some time and I was promoted back to staff again and went about my usual activities,
having fun and interacting with the community. My life was sex, drugs and rock & roll. I then started becoming less active and lost interest in the forum and began
focusing on building businesses outside of HF so I decided to resign from staff and I slowly but surely became inactive.

This month (Dec 2015), I came back, and the community is better than ever and booming. I've been quite active and posting and buying users upgrades and awards here and there
and overall, just been having fun having the freedom to discuss whatever I like with other members and relate to them. I enjoy talking about business, money, and just overall
fun subjects that interest me. I intend to stay active on here for as long as possible and hopefully get back to where I was back then in terms of activity and posting quality. I also joined "Writers",
which I believe I was a leader of back in the day, although I've discussed it with Viral Dragon and he's just as unsure as me; if anyone can answer me 'did "Reviewers" become "Writers"?',
that would be great.

Upon my return, I noticed a website that looked to have a lot of potential, so I decided to buy it from the owner and promote / represent it myself on here, however, this isn't a thread to promote my site.

My Feedback On The Community
The HackForums community is awesome and is even better now than it was back then, other than a few LQ posts every now and then, which I'm sure to report, it is fantastic and I would like to thank each member
for contributing to the forum and entertaining me when I'm feeling bored. I feel like the community is less closely connected as it was back in those days, but that's only natural with how much the forum has grown.

Another thing that I notice is an increase in scammers, which is unfortunate but the point from the last paragraph still applies here, it is only natural with how much the forum has grown. There is also a
lot of drama within the marketplace and among some of the more "popular" members, which isn't necessarily a good thing, but it's entertaining to watch how things unfold.

I love the community as it is now and thoroughly enjoy being a part of it. I enjoy making posts and responding to other users thoughts, I also like how users respond to my thoughts too.
There's nobody in this community that I can say I dislike; I have respect for everyone here and strive to make it mutual. So many people on here are great people overall and are the kind of people I'd like to associate myself with.
I have a lot of respect for the fellow businessmen of HackForums, as from experiences of my own, I know how tough it is and I feel as if that the businessmen aren't given enough credit, considering how much it actually takes out of you.

Notable Members
Unfortunately, I no longer have any friends on HackForums :(, but these are a few who stand out to me.

Grievous
For his efforts against scammers, as well as upgrading and giving awards to many members of the community.

Factor8
For being an awesome friend back in the days.

ĸondaх
For being my handy developer of Onu.im and being a genuinely nice guy to talk to. Also, most likely a child genius, 14 year old with excellent knowledge covering a ton of programming languages.

Holy cow. It's you. Just hit my six year anniversary on this site today. Last time I heard you went to Jail. 🙃

OH so you're that Phire nuk3r I always heard about. I never really bothered to check your past usernames.

Quote:'did "Reviewers" become "Writers"?', that would be great.
No. They were separate.

Kondax is 14 years old? The same guy who made the post-rep change calculating userscript?

I don't know much about you but I've seen you around a fair bit.

Reviewers did not shift into Writers but rather was deminished due to the conspiracy that people were paying Reviewers for good reviews.
That's what I've heard, unsure though.

Thank you for the shoutout and cheers to the upcoming years. I hope you remain active and plan to stay much longer.

Inactivity was also an issue as well which was most likely due to the fact that recruitment was only every 1-2 years and there were only a little over a dozen reviewers at a time.

Interesting, theories were all I heard but thank you for the clarification.

Seems nice and short. My question why do you have numerous awards in your profile? Are you on a road to obtaining?

I guess you could say that they are goals, although I already have a few of them. I just think the awards look really cool.
