How do YOU feel about the word "Otaku"? - Devixx - Dec 26, 2015
On multiple occasions people have told me that not everyone likes the word Otaku, or find it kind of offensive apparently?
So I want to ask everyone how they feel about the word for some of my own reasons, I personally don't really mind the word.
How about you?

I don't care. I'm called a weaboo over Otaku and even if it were that way, I couldn't care less. I'd probably just agree and be done with it.

A youth interested in computers but we use the word obsessed because we are adults and think technology is stupid - this discourages their abilities to have a normal social life.

I feel like it's a pretty accurate description of me but I don't think it has a place in Euro-American countries because of how vastly different the cultures are and what it means to be a no-life nerd in the different regions.
