Hello!
Does anyone else find it strange that HF doesn't allow for proxies, VPNs, connections through TOR, or any other anonymity tools? Sure, arguably this prevents you from making multiple accounts (not really, because you could always use a dynamic IP or public wifi or your phone's connection to get new IPs) but it leaves you wiiiide open to HF being able to disclose your IP to the feds should they ask.
Given the nature of the forums, they almost definitely -are- going to ask, which makes HF a bizarrely hacker-unfriendly project. I know that personally, there have been more than a few projects I never posted about for fear of being caught.
Does anyone know why HF does this?

Actually there's enough public VPNs which work with hackforums you just gotta search further than the first google result on "free VPN"

The thing here is that HF does not have illegal shit, it's full of kids who know nothing. There is legitimately no reason for law enforcement to give a shit about who is using HF.
Omni has made things a lot tighter then "back in the day" (or so I've heard) to prevent people from doing blackhat activity on here.
It's pretty much one of those things where if you aren't doing anything wrong then who cares?

If you were that concerned you would use TOR to access a VPS you purchased with bitcoin, on which you've secured and installed OpenVPN on, using that to access HF. That way it never gets blocked, and you're totally secure.

You can always set HF to not run through a VPN but everything else does... Or you can look for a VPN which isn't blocked by HF, I have a couple but I'm not sharing don't ask but they do exist. Just stop using TOR and Free VPN's and you will find one eventually.
