Dagashi Kashi

Shikada Kokonotsu's father owns a rural sweets shop, and his plan is for Kokonotsu to take it over one day. However, Kokonotsu wants to be a manga author instead! One day in summer, the cute but weird girl Shidare Hotaru, from the famous sweets company, comes to pay a visit. Apparently, Kokonotsu's father is famous and she wants him to join her family's company. However, he will only agree if she can convince Kokonotsu to take over the family business!

First episode had barely any fanservice.

Yeah, i wasn't so sure as to why it was so hyped (most hyped or wanted show for this season), however after watching episode 1 it was very good, and like Angel said there was like no fan-service. It's mainly about candy and very enjoyable, atleast episode 1. Only issue was the delayed release, however a fan-sub group picked it up (mori-fansub), a day later. But it was still released earlier than funimation released it. And they plan to do the same for the ongoing episodes if funimation is late on their uploads and such.

Yes; definately good that they do that. i've been resorting to fan-subs in alot of cases lately. Episode 2 wasn't as good as episode 1 sadly :(

It took me awhile to adjust to the characters' eyes but the show is definitely good when it's able to give you a few laughs early in the season.
