Getting a server owner's details - Diagnostics - Jan 21, 2016

So I'm not sure how many people are aware of this stupidly easy method but.. Basically this will work for quite a lot of servers (because server owners don't know what WHOIS is)

Disclaimer: I'm not responsible for your actions with this method.

I just want to be sure no one can come back later and say I'm responsible. Updated post to reflect that.
Yeah I'm pretty sure skids are gonna love this one.

It's quite easy to protect your whois by the host. Doubt many servers actually have their's public. If so, it's likely they're a LTD.

lmfao this is a terrible method. No offense xD You could get better info SE'ing their host.

ugh, everyone knows this.

and who cares about getting a server owners address? What are you going to do, drive to their house and get yourself arrested?

but good tutorial anyways op

Are you seriously comparing a domain lookup to gathering a Minecraft server's owner info?

Well the owner of the server (usually) owns the domain as well, so yes this is a way to get their details.

This is a terrible way of acquiring information. First of all, most domain have WHOIS protection, and those who don't often use false information.

You clearly must love this one since you made a post about it. Doesn't that make you a skid?

Please refrain from jumping aboard the "skid" train. Learn the meaning, and use it appropriately. Don't join the others in just throwing it about whenever you feel the need to disagree with someone.
