Theoretically...
There is a building with a server room in the middle. The data can only be accessed by pcs connected to the Ethernet cables that connect to the server. Each user can only access their portion of the server. I am assuming the server just creates partitions of some sort for some users. Some users can access one of the drives but others cannot.
To get to the point, is it possible to infiltrate the server and dump all of the data on it without physically being in the server room? Connecting with another laptop with an elevated user and copying the data that way?
I'm somewhat of a noob but any help is appreciated.

Do you have access to a router around the are or network.
if so connect via lan to the net like that.

The only thing i can think of is Social Engineering an employee into giving you remote access or executing malware on their computer bypassing IDS/Antiviruses and gaining remote access. Many things you can do, be creative
Drop flash drives on the ground in front if the building and hope an employee picks one up and executes those files (i think autorun doesnt work anymore)
