How do I downgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 7 without losing everything? - +rep - Jan 31, 2016

How do I downgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 7 without losing everything? I have the Windows 7 Ultimate iso file already. How do I downgrade without losing all of my stuff? Thanks 🤝

Backup everything you want to keep on an external hard drive or USB stick. 😎

When you upgraded to W10, did you choose to keep the Windows.old file (Google it)?

If so, there's a way to downgrade without dealing with fake license keys or buying a new one altogether.

I'm pretty sure Windows 10 deletes Windows.old after a while. I know Windows 8.1 did.

Were you able to do what you wanted OP? Because I might do the same.
