Twitter Coordinate Grabber Script (Tweepy) - Stack Overflow - Feb 1, 2016 I recently put together a script that would comb through followers or followed users of a specific user, returning the affected users along with their coordinates, the time the tweet with the coordinates was posted and a reference link to the tweet itself. The code can be found here (HackForums would not let me paste my code here). Let me know what you guys think! I plan on implementing the context of the tweet as well, but with emojis being in some of the tweets, it is not easy. I am open to suggestions as well as improvements to the code itself, whether I can make it more efficient or something of the like. EDIT: I should have also mentioned you need to create a Twitter application and use your own consumer key, consumer secret, access token and access token secret via https://apps.twitter.com * - emadaldin1 - Feb 2, 2016 This code is great of course you need to implementing the context of the tweet as well safe the result in .html instead of txt and try to make it more organised but keep going your code looks promising * - Lambasoft - Feb 2, 2016 Nicely done. Maybe you should spend more time on user validation and error handling. Other than that, everything is great! * - Stack Overflow - Feb 5, 2016 (Feb 2, 2016 02:08 AM)Lambasoft Wrote: Nicely done. It didn't really occur to me to implement more error handling or user validation as I was one of few people using the script and wasn't thinking about end-users. For sure something to focus on. Thanks a bunch! * - bet4r00t - Mar 3, 2016 Nice work lad :D I'll try it out. * - tux1 - Mar 5, 2016 Cool little script, thanks for posting. * - Ugly God - Mar 6, 2016 Thanks for this I found the code to be very educational in itself. * - Shadowphyre - Mar 6, 2016 Thanks for sharing,I learned a few things from this.Really good looking, good job! 🤝 |
