Introduction

Hello and welcome to my first ever Hack Forums feedback thread. Within this thread you'll find my feedback on certain sections and groups, staff and admins, my overall opinion on HF as a whole and its member-base. I'll start with why I joined HF..

Back in July of 2013 I was talking with a friend (ajhockey88) in an xbox live party chat. He said something along the lines of he couldn't believe how cheap Netflix accounts were going for on HF. I wanted to check out these Netflix accounts for myself so I made an account and registered. Upon looking through the secondary sellers market (where the netflix accounts were being sold at the time) I noticed how there was much more to HF than just a marketplace. So I started lurking through different sections to sort of get a better understanding of what this place is really all about. I noticed how there seemed to be a pretty cool community here so I stayed a few days to check it out some more. I then realized how cool this community actually is so I decided to park my ass in sections like the lounge and started posting. I was talking to so many cool people it made me never want to get offline, there was always someone new to talk to which I loved. More time passed and I started to realize what official groups were all about, and let me tell you I was interested as can be seeing how much time I was already spending here. I'll get to groups a little later though.

Rules, Announcements, News, and Feedback
RANF, the mini mod haven lol. I mean not one bit of hate when I say that because to be honest, if I think about it, I'm a mini mod myself and really I don't have a problem with that. I genuinely enjoy helping HF members fix their account issues, help them upgrade, or help them with whatever issue they may have, I find joy in doing so. I've always loved helping people on HF really ever since I first joined, I'm sure you can find posts from me back in 2013 where I'm saying 'I thrive on helping people'. Always have, always will. It wasn't until more recently where I became pretty active in RANF but hey, better late than never right? Great section for getting the help you need. It's very rare that I see a member have to wait more than 24 hours to receive the help they're looking for.

The Lounge
The Lounge was the first section I ever became active in for obvious reasons. At the time the lounge was filled with genuine trolls who actually made you laugh and people overall just hanging out having a good time. After a while you sort of started to know who posts there and who doesn't, ya know, who the regulars are and whatnot? Now I had no forum fame whatsoever at this point, absolutely no one other than maybe one or two friends had a clue who I was, and well I wanted to change that. I started talking to more reputable members, members who've been here a while, members like Black Shadow. I remember our first conversation clear as day, but I'll get more into that in the member shoutouts. Pretty much I was having a blast with posting around and getting to know people, I never wanted to stop.

Innuendo
Innuendo will always hold a special place in my heart for two reasons. One, Phoenix. Phoenix was an official group on HF back in 2014 and was my second favorite for many reasons that I'll get into a little further down. All I'll say here is that when Phoenix was around, we practically ran Innuendo. Two, it's the section where I earned my Sticky Man award which I am very happy about. I used to be much more active in this section but once Phoenix closed my Innuendo activity closed right with it. When Phoenix was around though you couldn't go into Innuendo and not see a help desk either by me or with me in it, it was pretty much my main section at the time. Sometimes I miss it so when I do I usually go lurk the section, maybe make a post or two, and that's about it.

Vices
It wasn't until semi recently I started to become very active in this section. I'll keep this one short and sweet. I have an extensive drug history and well Vices is all about drugs so you can see where the connection is made. :P There's honestly a really cool almost mini community in Vices where everyone knows each other, pretty much everyone is friends, and it's very active. I always have fun when browsing and posting in that section.

Science, Religion, Philosophy, and Politics
At first I didn't really know how to take SRPP. I thought this section was almost hard to understand with the kinds of topics that were discussed in that section, but overtime I started to become more interested in these kinds of topics. I firmly believe that without HF, I wouldn't be half as interested as I am in topics that revolve that section and I'm very thankful for that. Pretty much before joining HF I never discussed topics like the ones in SRPP, my friends just didn't talk about those kinds of things. I started posting around and then realized just how many things I genuinely enjoy talking about, and surprisingly enough it was more than just xbox, weed, girls, and whatever else was on my 16 year old mind. To this day I thoroughly enjoy browsing SRPP and will never say it's a shitty section like a lot of members like to do now. They say how SRPP has gone so far downhill over the last couple of years and I won't disagree but with only one aspect, it has changed more so than gone downhill. In my opinion it won't go fully downhill until there aren't any topics in the section that I feel I couldn't contribute to. When that day comes however you know there's something wrong.

Xbox 360, One, and Live Gaming

Back around when I first joined I was much more active in this section. Cool and useful section if you like talking about Xbox related gaming and for finding out information about Xbox in general.

Hackercraft
Don't have too much to say about this section other than I really wish I was more active when it was active. I've heard so many good things about HC and how people used to really enjoy playing it, makes me wish I could have been a part of that but hey, nothing I can do about it now.

Grand Theft Auto
I actually have something in store for this section fairly soon so that will be fun to release. I do have to admit it saddens me to see what the section has turned into over time. When it was first implemented to the site it was a thriving section with many purposeful threads. Now though, it's nothing but people asking for in-game money, to boost their rank, or to get modded items. Nothing but requests for modding pretty much in that section now. I hope one day it can go back to what it used to be.

Groups Feedback

Present Groups

[Image: L2AlWDO.png] Null - I've always looked at Null as a HQ group. It seems like they don't put up with bullshit from its members and they do seem to know their stuff in there. I don't think it would have survived for as long as it has seeing it's purpose if it wasn't successful within the sf so I have to assume it is. Maybe one day I'll be able to see it.

[Image: G02lsBP.jpg] Echo - To be honest I've never had one issue with Echo or really anyone in the group. I know how many people look at Echo as this low quality lounge group where everyone just sits there all day making fun of each other and what not, well I got news for you, Instinct was the same shit and everyone fucking loved Instinct. Point is, Echo should be able to have every right to be a lounge group and act how they want inside the sf (still following the rules of course). Oh and Understalker said I smoke bad weed one time and haha I still think he's cute for that today. :)

[Image: specialists.png] Specialists - Don't have much to say about this group other than they must be doing something right to still have support from its members after all this time. Plus that xmas giveaway was huge, even if Legends had something to do with it.

[Image: red-lion.jpg] Red Lions - Red Lions, the group I've wanted to be a part of since I joined HF. Arguably the group with most notoriety and seems like it will always have a place on HF. It's weird too, you figure since I would like to be in this group I would have applied when recruitment was out? Nope, my dumbass just waited and waited and then bam, recruitment closed and no longer accepting applicants. My lazy ass deserved it I guess. Anyway, awesome group, would like to have a conversation with nokia one day. 😉

[Image: axiom.png] Axiom - I had pretty high hopes for this group when it first launched because it was a re-brand of Instinct. Unfortunately it didn't seem to go as planned as it wasn't as active as Instinct nor did it have the same feel, which is understandable seeing it was a re-brand. I would have liked to see a longer life for this group, I enjoyed talking with people in the sub forum.

[Image: dawn.jpg] Dawn - This group is still fairly new so there's not much I can say about it other than it seems to be a friendly gaming group.

[Image: enigma.png] Enigma - Again, fairly a new group but I like a couple of the leaders so I have high hopes for this group. Also it's nice to finally see another technology group on HF.

[Image: fusion.png] Fusion - Pretty much the more gaming groups the merrier in my opinion. From experience, game nights on HF were always fun and brought members closer together. With Fusion and Dawn both being fairly new groups I can see some great things happening between the two. You know, if the leaders play it out right and if that's what they choose to do. Just a thought/suggestion Ninetales. and Raptor.. :P

[Image: blacklodge.png] The Black Lodge - The Black Lodge/L'appel du Vide/Void, all the same to me for a couple specific reasons. One being the owner, I've never kissed ass on this site so fuck off if you think this is kissing ass but Hex is a fantastic group owner. From Void to The Black Lodge he's held it down. I've always said great leadership will result in a great group and that's the final product of this group in my opinion. I also really enjoy talking with mostly everyone in the sub forum.

[Image: dark.jpg] Dark - I really don't know what to say about this group, haven't seem much come from it yet and again again again, it's a fairly new group. I do get some sort of Black Diamond vibe from it but I guess time will tell.

Groups Feedback Continued..

[Image: titans2.png] Titans - Titans, the group that replaced my HF home after Empire and Phoenix passed on. Great owner, leaders, and members as we choose carefully who we let in. I enjoy literally every aspect of this group and have since day one back in early 2015. From the events to the random discussions in the lounge, I'm happy to be a part of it and hope Titans stays on HF for a very long time. Shoutout to James for never selling a buy in. (Have nothing against people that do sell them, it's just that if I were to ever own a group I would never sell buy ins either.)

[Image: brotherhood.png] The Brotherhood - Another group that I wanted to be a part of since I joined HF and am very glad that I had that opportunity back in early 2014. I've been in this group for the longest out of any other groups now, after almost two years I can safely say that I absolutely love being a part of it. I'll also add that I enjoyed the gaming sector very much when it was still around, I miss talking with the active people in that sector.

[Image: prism.png] Prism - Two things that make it hard to give feedback on this group. One, I've never been into coding nor do I have any intentions to at the moment and two, (I know, again with the new group bs) it's a fairly new group. Mesh seems to have good intentions though so I hope they're implemented into this group.

[Image: royalty.png] Royalty - Unfortunately throughout the last couple of years on HF marketing groups haven't had the best image, especially after events took place like Illuminati and Fortune. I have yet to see anything negative pop up about this group so I still have hopes that it will be a long-term, successful marketing group.

[Image: legends.png] Legends - I like this group. It's not what some would think it's like on the inside of the sub forum, it's not a bunch of members boasting about their sales or themselves just because we have the name 'Legends'. It's actually so far been a decent atmosphere and I like Ray so that helps too. For the love of sunglasses. :P

[Image: writers2.png] Writ3rs - One of my favorite groups on HF. I was invited by the old leader whose name won't be mentioned to help write headlines. Since that day headlines is all I've done in Writ3rs and I've enjoyed every second of it. For a while I wasn't writing them because of some other things I had to take care of but I am very glad to say I'm back writing headlines, I missed it. Also iHydra seems to be doing a great job keeping it going, I have no complaints when it comes to his leadership.

Previous Groups

The Empire - Yes yes I know all of you were expecting this and here you go; Probably the longest single group feedback in HF history. Shits so important it needed an intro.

Oh The Empire.. the group of noobs.. where do I start? I guess I'll bring it back to late 2013 when I was invited to the group Complexity. To make one story short there was a Complexity gaming sector game night hosted by the member Harlem. That night I met the members Evangelist and Freddy Krueger. Right off the bat I knew I liked Sam (Evangelist) and our friendship grew from that night on. He then invited me to Empire the next day and my journey took off. It started with the typical newbie in a group, especially seeing I was only on HF for like a month at the time, and slowly progressed to almost getting leadership, and anyone in Empire knows that we took our memberlist ranks seriously. 😏 What really made Empire memorable and so great for me was the members, every single one of them, and when I say that I mean the ones that were there all the way up until the end. The amount of posts we made in those fucking lounges talking to each other every damn day for years is unreal, hundreds and hundreds of thousands. I know a lot of people look at Empire as this huge circle jerk and well in reality it was pretty close. I don't mean that in a bad way though, I mean that in the most positive way. The closeness of the members was through the roof, we knew practically everything about each other and if something major happened in one of our lives we ALL knew about it, almost like it was a family members life we were talking about. Pretty much without Empire I would not be where I'm at today on HF. Who knows, I'd probably still be applying for groups hoping for the chance of getting in. Empire changed my course on HF from profile stats to the community and it was pretty much overnight because of how much of an impact the family feel of the group had on me. Fuck, we had the coolest members, leaders, threads, discussions, times, memories, everything. I miss Empire very much still to this day because no group other than Phoenix has yet to show me the same family environment as much as Empire did. Empire will always have a special place in my heart for many reasons some of which won't be mentioned, but I absolutely wanted to take this time to share my complete emotions of the group. My favorite and in my opinion the best group ever on HF.. Empire. Okay, I know, there's a novel in itself with this one group so I think I'll end it here.

Oh and for those wondering if my motto will ever change, no, it will never change.

Long Live The Empire.. <3

[Image: FqE99K6.png] Phoenix - Another group that will always have a special place in my heart. Seeing it was originally mostly just Empire noobs it was very similar to Empire and for that reason alone most of us really enjoyed it. For a long time it operated very similar but did have a 143 feel to it which was intended. It wasn't until the end where it started to change, the more non-original members we added the more disagreements and drama and in my personal opinion that is what initially caused the Fall of the Phoenix. Rest in peace to the last official group of noobs.

Complexity - I always enjoyed my time spent in Complexity. I liked the way Judge Dredd ran things and overall liked most of the members. It's also where I met that noob Roger Waters and a few others during a game night one night so it's safe to say Complexity was a starting ground of a few different friendships and I am forever grateful for that.

Archive - Archive was an absolute fantastic group in my opinion. From the minute I saw the userbar under adams name I knew it was going to be good. You know how a lot of groups will have these threads saying how you're going to learn so much while in the sub forum and really participate in various lessons and whatnot and then come to find out it was all bullshit and turns into a dead group? Well yeah not with Archive. Everything Archive promised was followed through with. Archive was probably the only group I've been a part of where I've legitimately learned something constructive from. So for that I thank you adam and Tommy. 😉

There, I feel better now that this is included. Still can't believe I didn't realize it the first time around.

Graphic Masters - The very first group I ever applied for and it was via UserCP on the first day I joined HF. Surely I was denied and as you can assume I was never invited to be part of the group. The group in its day seemed to have a decent following.

[img]http://sublyme.net/site_media/hfuserbars/blackdiamond.gif[/img] Black Diamond - When it was around there was tons of hype about joining the group and if you were in Black Diamond you seemed to have held a certain ranking/position on the forum. This groups userbar was one of my favorite ever used on HF as well.

Groups Feedback Continued..

Skill - When I think of Skill I think of the beef that happened between Skill and Instinct. Supposedly this groups lounges were a lot of fun to participate in but I wouldn't know as I was never a part of this group.

The Alliance - Even though I was never a part of this group it would almost be disrespectful of me if I didn't include it in this list. The Alliance was hands down one of the most useful, respected, and highly thought of groups on HF even by Omni himself. Though I'm not really into what the groups focus was I still would have liked to see what the sub forum was like in its prime.

Innovation - Innovation was before I knew what Astonish's true intentions were. I applied once or twice for this group but was never invited. I always seemed to like Innovation and am surprised I didn't work harder at getting in but when I saw buy ins for $15-$20 my want to join the group went down.

[Image: AdbPVkE.png] Dynasty - I'll admit, the sole reason I was in this group was because of the userbar. I thought Dynasty's userbar was really nice and told Evangelist that and he got me invited the next day. There was also a good amount of informational threads and in depth tutorials that were written in the name of the group.

Void - Void was the first group I realistically wanted to join on HF. Red Lions being the first though my chances of getting into Void at that time were greater than RL, that's for damn sure lol. Though I was never able to be a part of Void itself I've been a part of Hex's groups after the fact. (L'appel Du Vide and The Black Lodge)

[Image: 8D8lWdo.jpg] Fly By Night - I always heard good things about FBN though never saw what the sub forum looked like. I enjoyed looking at their public portfolio that was posted regularly from what I remember.

Infamous - The group that everyone wanted to join, besides Empire of course. :P It seemed like everyone and their mother were kissing ass in some sort of way to get an invite to this group. I was never able to participate in any discussions or anything like that inside the sub forum but I did see it on numerous occasions and will say it looked like a group I would have liked. 😉

[Image: g5wBo7A.gif] The Republic - To be completely honest, as soon as I saw this group launch I knew it was going to be fairly short lived. The name is way too similar to groups like The Empire and The Brotherhood that were both already well established names and groups. Making a group called 'The Republic' just wasn't the best choice in names for one, and two at that time lounge groups weren't really looked at as 'okay', but more so useless. That has calmed down over the last couple of years I've noticed.

143 - I always looked at 143 as a very high quality and friendly atmosphere group. Every member I ever encountered was extremely friendly and open so I'm pretty surprised I was never invited, especially when Tibit took over, damn noob waited till he changed to Phoenix to invite me. Anyway, 143 will go down on HF as one of the most exclusive and prestigious groups and it deserves it, its members put countless hours of hard work in.

Groups Feedback Continued..

Legion - Legion seemed to be pretty popular in its day and if you were into hacking you probably wanted to be in Legion. There was no interests in the group for me however so that's pretty much all I have to say about this group.

Instinct - Instinct was the first group I was ever invited to and my time only lasted about 48 hours originally. However a few months later Vinnie invited me back and I stayed there until pretty much the end of Nightfall. Instinct never had a dull moment and if you were looking for a good laugh over nonsense then the Instinct sub forum was for you. I miss this group sometimes.

[Image: lwdaUaI.png] MRT - When I saw the announcement that MRT had been deleted and it would be no more I was honestly shocked. I had always looked at MRT as an extremely high quality group that genuinely helped and made an impact on HF in a very positive way. I mean, the countless hours Paradoxum and others put into helping members clean their computers is absolutely commendable. Again, I was very shocked when I saw that it was gone.

Illuminati - The only successful marketing group I ever saw on HF in my time here. Now hold on, when I say successful I do NOT mean up until the end, that's for sure. What I mean is if Anonymous was racking in $100 per month from every Illuminati member then he had to have been doing something right. I barely see group spots sell for $100 anymore never mind a monthly membership fee for that much.

Enterprise - Grievous is a close friend of mine so if I were to say Enterprise was nothing but a great group it would be nothing but a biased opinion. So, my realistic opinion of the group is that it wasn't shit until Grievous took over. In my completely honest opinion if it wasn't for him it would have been a bigger laughing stock than it is now, so for me, I give him props for that. I mean the amount of giveaways alone amounts to a great contribution.

Studio - My version of Rhythm, seeing I wasn't on HF at the time when Rhythm was, Studio was the closest thing I would get so far. In my opinion Studio would have been a fantastic group if the leadership had taken the right course of actions. Not saying they made the wrong decisions, just that if it were in my hands it would have been run a bit differently. I really enjoyed helping with the official artist review thread though. - Thread - My review

The Revolution - This group was a lot of fun to be honest, I really enjoyed it. Especially when Fox™ was leading the general sector it was soo active and a lot of fun to participate in the conversations that were taking place. Had an Empire feel to be honest, though most likely because we had a noob running the section. Oh and to this day it's inspired almost the best group signature I've seen. In memory of the most active loungers of the new Revolution: Spoiler (Click to View)

Nightfall - If you liked Instinct how could you not love Nightfall? For a lot of us it was a nice reminder of what Instinct used to be and it was very similar, just not the same userbar. Though I wasn't extremely active in Nightfall I still thoroughly enjoyed reading all the nonsense people posted on a daily basis in that group, it was always really entertaining.

Zero - Arguably one of my favorite groups ever on HF. The feel of zero wasn't a feel of no fucks given at all, it was more so the most laid back lounge group imaginable towards the end. I always liked Syrah for some reason, maybe it was his attitude or his love for OVO, I just liked him. #ZERO THE REGIME

Polymath - I was in Polymath towards the end when Lani invited everyone who wanted an invite. From the few days I had to check out the sf I have to say it looked like a group I would have enjoyed. It's unfortunate that I didn't get to participate in the various events the group produced.

Staff and Admin Feedback

Previous Staff & Admins

Chris - Chris was one of the staff members back when I first joined. At the time he seemed like a no-bullshit staff member who really did his job. Again, I was very new at the time so if this opinion is completely wrong I wouldn't be surprised.

D3xus - D3xus has always been okay in my book, ever since he ran MOTM. I remember I would always check out his official groups thread to see if anything new was happening. Oh the good old days.

Emylbus - When Emy was promoted to staff it didn't surprise me in the least, back then he was one of the most active helpers in RANF and really the majority of the forum, he seemed to be everywhere. He would also kindly answer any site questions I might have had at the time. Also when he puts out any update for HFES I usually don't remove it, most of the time he'll end it with a heart or something and it reminds me why I stayed for this community.

Judge Dredd - JD is an old Empire noob so he'll always be okay with me. Despite all the bullshit talked about him over the years I still think he was a good staff member and overall HF member. Plus, I really liked his avatar and signature lol.

Paradoxum - The robot of HF. This guy banned more people, gave out more warnings, really seemed to do his job better than any other staff member I've ever seen. This guy was seriously just on top of everything and I feel bad for those who weren't able to witness Para as a staff member, he truly served this site well.

RDCA - I have no idea what happened to RDCA but it seems like all of a sudden he just fell off the map and wasn't staff anymore. I remember seeing him post in RANF helping members all the time even before he was staff but then suddenly stopped for some reason. During his time as staff I usually saw him doing his job properly.

Viral Dragon - Viral is hands down one of the most known members on HF for a few reasons. Supposedly he was super active and helpful back in the day way before I joined, when he was staff after I joined he really seemed to do his job and then some, then even after he was demoted I still saw him helping people in the same positive way. Back when his illness was made extremely public I felt for him and well, to keep privacy private, I wished him the best.

Factor8™ - F8; probably the most talked about admin ever on HF. F8 may have not been as serious as Xch4ng3 was but he surely did his job well over the many years he was admin. When you're an admin for as long as F8 was you certainly deserve recognition and thanks for all those years of service. So far I've liked F8 the most out of any admin that's been on HF. Besides Omni of course but I'll get to him. :P

Xch4ng3 - Another one of the longest lasting admins I've ever seen. Xch4ng3 truly seemed like a no-bullshit admin. Never once did I see him joke around with anyone, he really seemed to take his job seriously.

Present Staff & Admins

Omniscient - Omni Omni Omni. I've made myself pretty clear over the years of what I think of you but just in case, here we go. I've always looked at Omni as an absolute go-getter. From all the stories told over the years, to the numerous stores and online business's he's owned, to maintaining HF for all these great years, I mean c'mon, you have to hand it to the man. Do you know anyone who would be able to make and keep HF as successful as it has been? I sure as hell don't. I don't think we take enough time to actually thank Omni for what he does for all of us on a daily basis. I mean I know we buy awards to show our love sometimes and sometimes members make very informative or helpful threads and they get stickied as another way of showing him we care about this site. But at the end of the day I don't think (I could be wrong, I can't see what he gets for pm's everyday lol) there are that many members actually taking the time to say thank you, so thank you Omni. :P Maybe we should introduce some sort of Omni Appreciation day or something similar, I'm sure members would be down for it and maybe Omni might like it too, who knows, just a thought. Anyway to wrap it up, you're a cool ass dude, always have been towards me, to think back on our conversations and interactions I can't say I have one negative thing to say. Oh wait, other than the fact that 'Chief and I don't have the pizza award yet, we deserve it so damn much lmao.

Keep up the awesome work Omni. 😉

Skorp - At this time Skorp is now the longest lasting current staff member, other than Omni obviously. To this day I haven't heard anything negative about the guy and really have seen nothing but a professional attitude from him whenever I do see him post, which is rare.

Sam Winchester - I think you're Dean Winchesters HF brother? I might be wrong about that. If you are though you're okay in my book because Dean is a good noob and good friend of mine. Overall I honestly haven't seen much of you but you might do more behind the scenes work which is fine.

!!* Alone Vampire *!! - Don't have much to say about this staff member other than he must have his head on straight to be an old Red Lions member and also to be promoted to staff.

Roger Waters - This staff member is a noob. Not gonna lie I thought about ending it there but I figured I wouldn't do that to him lol. Roger is extremely active, does his job, and is very approachable if you need help with something and don't know him. When he was promoted I can't say I was surprised in the least, absolutely one of the most deserving members for a staff position.

King of Hearts - I remember talking with you fairly often in Brotherhood and you always seemed pretty cool. Don't have any complaints about you.

Walt Disney™ - Seeing you were literally just promoted either two or three days ago I can't really form any kind of opinion on you for staff feedback. I think I've ran into you once or twice throughout the forums and can't say I remember anything negative. I hope you do great with your new position.

Awards & Reputation Feedback

Donation awards: Donation awards are great for a few reasons. One being it helps Omni keep HF going so that's obviously a plus, another being it shows your appreciation and support for HF in general, and it also adds milestones for some members to achieve if they'd like. I hope donation awards stay as popular as they have been.

Non-donation awards: These are something that really helps make HF the place it is in my opinion. These types of awards really give members something to shoot for if they believe they deserve it, ya know, without directly asking. Awards to me have always been a very cool thing and ever since I first signed up for HF I wanted tons, especially seeing members like Black Shadow and Connected at the time.

Reputation: Before Omni's latest reputation system update it definitely needed some attention but it seems like that has been handled somewhat. Overall it's a great feature to let people know what you think of them but unfortunately with everything else that's abuseable, members always seem to find a way to do just that. I've seen many different reputation systems in my online time on various forums and I have to say HF's is my favorite because the amounts of rep you can give at once isn't overly high and there's a max of five per day, so to me it's much more structured already than most other forums are.

Hack Forums Feedback

Site Feedback

Omni, how many times have we already talked about my love for this site? Too many times already probably lol. But, since this is a feedback thread I guess I'll say it again in a more public format.

Hack Forums to me is much more than just a forum, or a social network, it's an escape from the day to day realities I'm forced to deal with and without it, well I don't think I'd be here. I'll get to why, don't worry.

So, my HF addiction pretty much started after the first thread I ever made, just something about it really interested me. It wasn't until a few weeks after joining I realized how much of an impact this site was about to have on me. Back in almost late 2013 when I signed up I was battling a drug addiction and was pretty much ready to cave at any moment and desperately needed something to occupy myself with so I didn't do that. Well HF came along. I remember sitting in my room at night on xbox with my friends scrolling down my phone's contacts desperately trying to find someone who would front me something, or who would lend me some cash so I could go get something, but all of that went away when I discovered HF's amazing community. The members and the site itself distracted me so much, took up so much of my time that I literally wasn't even thinking of going back to the drugs. See, I was already passed the initial withdrawal point and in the mental stage of just missing the fuck out of it and contemplating what life might be like without it, and I couldn't stand that. But again, HF took that all away for me and I genuinely believe that without it I would have gone back to the drugs so fucking fast it would have made my dick spin. So for that, I am MORE than thankful to both Omni and HF in general, you guys are what kept me clean for so long and on the right path for so long. All I wanted to do was work, make money, buy donation awards, post, really just dive head first into the HF community and I did exactly that and couldn't be more happy about it.

So that's my opinion on HF and what this site does for people. I'm sure I'm not the only one whose life is effected in such a positive way from HF. I actually know for a fact that certain members who suffer from depression and anxiety come on HF as an escape from their day to day realities as well, which makes me happy. This is more than just a forum to a lot of people, it's a giant meeting ground for all walks of life and for some, a positive one too.

Omni you better acknowledge you read this otherwise I'm gonna have to pm you this one too 🤣. Just kidding.

Thank you for making HF so awesome.

Member Feedback

A list of shoutouts <3 (Only the first five are in order. I still love you all though :P)

Evangelist - Oh Sam.. What would my HF life and career have been if it wasn't for you? Probably just another dude on HF trying to make a name for himself in the community. You were the turning point in my HF life that made a lot of things I've done on this site possible. If you haven't read my wiki page, Sam (Evangelist) is the one responsible for getting me into Empire and you guys know how important Empire is to me. At least after the feedback I gave for it you should. 😏

I miss you Sam, I miss seeing you completely ruin members with the shit you'd come up with. A true debate God of HF as well, don't know many (except myself of course lol) that can beat him in a debate. Unfortunately you were closed so you won't be able to read this but best believe I'll be sending it to you on Skype. :P

Haze (Now Spade) - Devon is probably my best friend on HF even though we don't talk NEARLY as much as we used to. We used to talk everyday all day about anything, we just clicked so perfectly. Thinking back on our hour upon hour conversations I get a slight nostalgic but emotional feeling, reminds me of the old days. Anyway, before I get too much in my feels over a damn shoutout I'll end it with Haze is a dude you can trust with your life, he'll talk to you about anything and everything, overall just a really cool dude. Miss you a ton man, will probably call you out of nowhere in the near future to see what's good.

Tibit - Tibs you damn noob, why did you have to get yourself closed?! I don't think you actually understand how much Phoenix and Empire meant to us you ass. No, in all seriousness Tibit is a very good friend of mine for a few reasons. One being he was the owner of Empire and Phoenix, my two favorite groups. Tibs also pretty much knows everything about me, from the good to the bad, and he's always been there to lend an ear when needed and that feeling was always mutual. During the time of Phoenix I was going through a pretty terrible breakup that had me losing myself pretty much and Tibs was the only one I actually trusted knowing everything and to give me a legitimate and purposeful response. I know many people don't like Tibit but to me he'll always be considered a great friend and someone I looked up to. Oh yeah and it blows that I was never made leader even though I was told I'd get it lol, damn noob.

"Was nice knowing you, you're a good noob, even though you're in the closet. You were one of the best noobs imo, had Empire continued you would have been a leader for sure." - Tibit

Makes me cry every time :'(

Tom (Now Troye) - The closest gay friend I've ever had would be Tom. Before joining HF I would have never seen myself hanging out with and talking to a gay guy as much as I did with Tom lol, we just got along really well. We would have the best conversations via pm and in the Empire lounge, for countless hours talking about the most random things and making fun of each other. Man, I fucking miss you and everyone else so damn much. Fuck, making a shoutout list is harder than I thought..

FeaturedBMX - Man, you were always okay in my book up until you started scamming. Unfortunately you went down as a scammer but I knew the real you and the real you was a really cool dude who was caring and and really always had my back. I was pretty surprised when you told me that you got caught scamming, I guess I was more disappointed than anything. I don't think we've really had a conversation since around that time so I hope you're doing well with everything that life has to offer you.

(From here down I just went through the old Empire memberlist, my buddy list, and included anyone that I could think of off the top of my head so if you're not here just tell me and I'll most likely add you. 😉)

Eternal. - Seth you were always a good noob in my book too. The majority of our conversations seem to have consisted of more serious topics as you are more of a serious member. I always thought you were a fantastic leader of both Empire and Phoenix, you did your job well.

vitafortis - Can't say that I have many memories of us talking but the ones I do have were always pleasant. "Don't pull a vita." 🤣 <3

Froggy - It seems like it's so hard to get on your good side for some reason lol. I remember I'd try striking up conversations with you from time to time but it seemed to go unnoticed. From what I see you post it seems we have a few things in common. You should stop being a noob and hit me up sometime.

xadamxk - A giant noob indeed. I always liked you adam, ever since Empire. When I think of you I think of four things; one being your secret hidden message in our old memberlist, the rep you left on me when I first met you, the funny selfies you posted in both Empire and Phoenix I think, and you running Archive. Speaking of Archive, if it wasn't for that group I wouldn't have the want to help out in RANF as much as I do so I gotta thank you and Tommy for that. You've also done an exceptional amount of work for HF with all your tutorials. Definitely an A1 HF member.

1n9i9c7om - Nico you damn nazi noob. Man your songs always cracked me up and I always remember you having an upbeat and friendly attitude. Definitely one of my favorite noobs.

bugga - bugga bugga bugga. We had a very long heart to heart once that in my opinion sealed our friendship. I probably know more about you than the majority of HF and am glad I do, I think you're a really cool and good person having been able to get to know the real you. I know you've been inactive for a while but you should come back, HF and I miss your antics. Oh and the bugga roll was the best. :P

Positive - A very helpful noob. I remember my first day posting on HF I made a bunch of silly threads asking how HF worked and how to do certain things. You posted on every one of them and helped me with every question I had without complaint or attitude, and for that I thank you because who knows, it could have been a different mentor at the time who was having a bad day or something. The Phoenix podcast was a lot of fun to do with you too. I have nothing but good memories when it comes to you.

iKinky - Another noob who should get active again. I think you did a good job helping lead Phoenix, you had the right mindset for it you kinky noob.

Infinitе - The aussie noob. You're one of the OG's in Empire even longer than me so I gotta give you that. You always had a rather positive attitude when I saw you post and also welcomed me with a warm heart when I was first invited to Empire.

Skypе - You drunk noob. I remember the night you posted a picture of yourself shit faced and said you'd regret it the next morning which you did lol. I think I still have that picture saved somewhere. 😏

Cryptic™ - One of the best group owners hands down. The Brotherhood has been nothing but successful in my opinion. I know we've had our inactive spurts but what group hasn't? Thank you for keeping Brotherhood as original as possible and as tight-knit as it has been.

Freddy Kruеger - I met you the same night I met Sam so we've been friends a really long time. You and I always had similarities and things in common and we always got along great. To all the good times we had talking in Empire and on Skype raise your glass with me and take a drink.

'Snorlax - The true definition of an award whore lol. This guy had 50+ awards at once because of something that happened with him and Omni, but there's no sense going into that, it's ancient history already. I'll always look at 'Snorlax as the userscript king. He was also extremely helpful in his time here and it's safe to say I miss seeing his name around the forums. He was always really nice when we talked.

Αlien - Another noob that I wish didn't leave HF. One of the most intelligent guys I ever talked to on this forum, maybe it was because of his age but he was always very mature and insightful when we talked.

Fox™ - You were always such a cute noob to me lmao. Not as in your irl looks but just your attitude on HF. One of my favorite noobs. When I think of you I think of nothing but good times. :)

Aurа - You smart fucking noob. I mean, damn, I don't think I've met someone who knows as much as you do about WHH besides Corso. Definitely deserved his rank on the forum with the extraordinary amount of help he provided in WHH.

bitcube (Now Ventures) - During our time in Empire we didn't really talk all that much seeing you were inactive a fair amount. After Empire though we seemed to really get along with each other. You always came across as a smart dude and I hope you're doing well with whatever you're doing.

tamilan - Probably the most serious noob I've ever encountered on HF. I mean, if you got this guy to joke around with you you were doing something right lol. A no bullshit member which I always liked about you. Even though we disagreed from time to time I still enjoyed most of our conversations and mini debates.

Jake Miller - I'm not gay but we snapchatted some pretty fruity things one time haha. :P

Unknown. (Now King Cin) - I have to say my memories of you in Empire aren't too vivid, but more vivid when it comes to Phoenix, if I'm remembering correctly lol. You do a lot to help out Innuendo which I admire because I love that section and I'm sure you know why. You're a good noob in my book. 😉

Effexion - Another older member but not as serious as Alien. You were always super nice when talking to me and really anyone I ever saw you talking to. That and you have a beautiful family and some pretty cute cats lol. :P

Nehssa - HI NEHSSA HI NOOB HI. We've always acted super silly around each other but we can be serious if we need to. I remember that one night me, you, and I think Nevieth were in a Skype chat looking at those stupid infomercial parodies and fucking laughing our asses off. That's one of the best memories I have with any noob not gonna lie. We still laugh about that shit on Facebook sometimes too. Not many noobs I actually love but I love you noob, you were always and still are cool as shit. One day my girl and I will come meet you and you know who. :P

Justin Timberlake - I feel like something happened to you towards the end of Phoenix and sort of up until now, you just don't seem the same as you used to be. :/ You're still a good noob in my book but I wish you'd go back to your noobish ways if that makes sense.

mad - mad #1. Yet another old Empire OG. Every time I talked to mad I always wanted to know more about him but he seems like the type that's very private about his personal self. "Tibit is an anime fapper :D"

Mad76e - mad #2. Yet another older member so you always had a more realistic and mature standpoint on things which I respected. Don't talk to you nearly as much as I used to in lounges and stuff so we should change that next time we see each other in a group lounge.

phuqer - phucker lol. You were always a cool dude when we talked even though you weren't nearly as active as everyone else was. I miss seeing your name around and hope you're doing good with all the computer stuff lol.

Autocorrect - I won't lie noob, I didn't like you at first for some reason lol. I guess I just didn't know the real you. After getting to know you though I always liked you. You also post some pretty funny shit from time to time.

lnvisible - Another OG Empire noob so you have my automatic respect in regards to that.

Vent - For some reason I really took a liking to you when you were first added to Empire. I don't know if it was your age, your innocence, what. Whatever it was though it made me really like you. I remember giving you novel-long advice and am glad you took it as seriously as you did. I genuinely hope you're doing good with you know what, I'd hate to see anything happen to you noob. :'(

Vicellus Drum - Give me your Cuddly and Cute award lol. At first I didn't know what to expect of you seeing you weren't new when you were added to the group, but overtime I grew to like talking to you in Empire, Phoenix, Tibs other sites and now The Black Lodge.

Doxicity - You're another one of my best friends on this site. From the time I first met you till now I think you're fucking awesome. The whole Nagilooc thing is one of my favorite memories from Empire and I'm thankful for that. Like some of the others we don't talk nearly as much as we used to and I wouldn't mind changing that. Miss you noob and hope you're doing well. Oh and I'm really glad you came back to HF, when you posted that farewell feedback thread I wanted to cry.

diiaz (Now Marmite) - Probably my favorite noob from Empire. You always had the best attitude, made the best fansigns, overall were the best and I probably enjoyed talking to you more than anyone else. I miss you noob, come back. </3

Member Feedback Continued..

'Chief - My nigga 'Chief. I remember our first conversation about how you hated the GTA snow but I loved it lol. To this day I firmly believe that we more than deserve that damn pizza award, one day Omni will come around. 😏 I always enjoyed talking to you and the feeling has always seemed like it was mutual. You've always been good in my book. I didn't forget about your long ass reply either so I'll be expecting that once this is finally posted. :P

stuntogun - A very close friend of mine offsite but since he has an account here I figured I'd include him. Absolutely one of the few CoD4 kings. If anyone is wondering what I mean when I say CoD4 king I mean this right here. This is me back a couple years, something my friends and I did on almost a daily basis for years upon years: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoc_DARFs-Q
**ajhockey88** - I added the stars to this guys name because he serves probably the most important roll for me regarding HF even more so than Evangelist. This guy is the reason I'm on HF so I am extremely thankful to him for that. I'm sure he had no idea where my account would go after he told me about the site.

Corso - The WHH genius of the forums in my opinion. I didn't know him too well but he did help me out once when I needed help cleaning my computer. Absolutely an HF legend in the eyes of some.

Harlem - Hahlem you damn New Yoakah. Lol I have good and funny memories of you from all the nights on xbox and random times in Skype group chats. I used to see you around soo much more than I do now, you should come back.

Throzi - Another offsite friend of mine but it's only right that I include him here seeing he has an account. Throzi is hands down my best online friend when it comes to HF, xbox, anything online. He's been there for me more than anyone else online and always held down a solid friendship with me over the last few years. One of my only online friends I actually care about meeting one day and I'm sure we will.

"I love those people you can joke around with and have so much fun with and then have a deep conversation with and it's not weird at all." - Me too brother, me too.

Black Shadow - I think very highly of Black Shadow because of how much he helped me mentally back around the time when I first joined. I was extremely unhappy at the time and he supposedly prayed for me every night for like four or five days straight and then magically the next weekend my life started changing for the better. I've been a firm believer in God for a while now and that only amplified it. A genuine guy in my opinion, regardless of all the drama that's happened within the last couple of years.

Roger Waters - You're a damn noob. I enjoy our nights on xbox together as we always have interesting conversations. Even though you can be a huge pain in the ass at times especially with your thousands of invites you're still a cool dude and good in my book, regardless of what some people might say. 😉

Judge Dredd - For always being so mysterious and lurking in the shadows. :P Oh and you hosted funny lounges in Empire and had the best rank on our memberlist lol.

Βusiness - I used to almost have a crush on you or something lol. Back when you ran jRAT and were pretty much the king of the rat section alongside redpois0n, I seemed to check your threads on a daily basis almost even though I had no interests in RAT's whatsoever. I don't know, you just seemed cool I guess. You're still cool don't worry. :P

Maximum - "Hi I'm Jr, and here's 1,000." I remember you saying you'd be the one to give me 1k and you followed through. 🎉

Realizm - Another fantastic group owner in my opinion. Titans has been nothing but successful and unique with all its events as well. Keep up the great work James.

iHydra - I didn't know how the HFNT would turn out after you were appointed leader but it's now safe to say you do a great job. Keeping everyone in order and making sure the news is completed and released on time every week is not an easy task yet you do it well. You're also an understanding guy judging from conversations we've had. I like your attitude. 😉

prada - I used to think you were annoying lol but then I got to know you and realized you're a cool dude. I'm still waiting on you to hit me up for that third verse bruh. You want bars you want me. :P

Angеl - The most negative and edgy member of Titans yet somehow I wouldn't like it if for some reason you weren't in Titans anymore. You've been with us for so long your spot is deserved, especially with all the bullshit you post lol.

Cyaddd - I've always liked your attitude and we seem to always get along whenever we talk in Titans. Plus we make fun of Jimmy sometimes which is fun lol.

F‌iber - Give me your damn # account already lol. You seem like a cool dude out of the times we've talked. No complaints just yet. :P

Gladly - After you were invited to Red Lions you fell off the map in Titans. Where'd you go?!

illuminati▲ - Fine, you can have a shoutout. Jimmy sometimes I don't know if you hate everyone or love everyone. You flop between having hatred for the world to wanting to talk to everyone. Can't say it makes me dislike you though, you're definitely different which allows us to get along. Oh and you deserve the Hot Dog award.

Incognito™ - I teach strafing lessons for $7.95 per lesson via PayPal. 😏

ĸondaх - I don't know how you went from doing good on the forum to getting RKO'd so fast lol. I'm not sure if you'll come back to HF or not. Oh and the youngest member in Titans deserves a shoutout, especially given exactly how young you really are lol.

MeshCollider - I got my third row started exactly how I wanted. We had good times in the Legends lounge those few days. :)

reve4 neeuQ - The person responsible for the insane amount of text on my wiki page absolutely deserves a shoutout. I think you did a hell of a job with it. 😉 Oh and it took me forever to figure out what your username actually says.

Rivalry - Very mature and helpful member when it comes to the graphics section.

Red Sоx - We met irl for like 5 minutes at an MGK concert and still to this day I'm kicking myself for not walking up to you sooner. I fucking knew it was you that whole time! Ugh still irritates me lol. We'll have to chill sometime dude, really, we'd definitely get along.

Grievοus - Regardless of what everyone says I think you did a good job with Enterprise, you actually cared about giving back to the community which a lot of members seem to not think about too often anymore. Also a Phoenix noob. <3

The Judge - It sucks to hear what happened to you. You always helped me when you could which I am very thankful for. Hope you're doing well wherever you are now.

Package - Fuck you Package. 😠 Lmao <3

Redwall - For liking designer clothing probably more than I do.

Hexicidal - Hex is another amazing group owner in my opinion. He's held it down ever since Angels so you gotta respect that. I've always enjoyed my time spent in Void and TBL and I know I'll continue to do so.

Emylbus - I always liked you and thought you absolutely deserved your staff position when you were promoted. Still to this day whenever you release a mass message for HFES I keep it there until the next one because you usually end it with a :) or <3.

Goodies - Another absolute genius of the forums. This guy knows so much it's hard to keep track of. I remember our first conversation was about your avatar and how I thought it was cool lol.

haydrazs - I've always liked you for some reason and hope the doors to Echo are still open to me as they were during our last conversation. 😉

Miki - For actually asking me if it was okay to use my signature as your avatar. I respect that. :)

Moeseph - I feel like we'd really get along but you make it so hard to talk to you sometimes lol.

Regulus - I will always now have a soft spot for you because of how much you thought of your Grandfather, I feel you there like no tomorrow. Also extremely nice whenever we talk.

T3h Hack3r - The one and only time we really talked was a long time ago. From what I remember you were a nice guy and I was very happy that I could help you at that time. I hope you're still doing good and you know you can message me anytime you want to talk. <3

Saturday (Now Tonight) - I thought your profile was sexy as fuck back when I first joined lol. We've talked from time to time and it feels like we would get along more now than some months ago. Hit me up sometime if you wish.

Raymond Reddington - For the love of sunglasses. 😎

Bandors - I've liked you since old Void days. Actually talking to you too made me like you even more after realizing our mutual love for drugs.

Clique - We haven't talked all that much but out of the times we did you always seemed like a laid back, chill dude. Oh and I thought you were black for the longest time for some reason lol.

.Sinister - I miss talking to you alll the time in Phoenix. You always had a very likable attitude and I'm glad you're in Writ3rs so we have at least one sub forum to talk to each other in still.

Closing Statement

Man, it's crazy to think how long it took me to write all of this, definitely wasn't expecting it to be this long. I started working on this January 7th, 2016 and finally finished it on February 1st, 2016. Then again I'm on vacation at the moment so that sort of has to do with it too. In total this thread is right around 9,046 words and 61,451 characters according to wordcounter.net.

Overall I really enjoyed writing this feedback. It brought back some great memories along the way and made new ones. HF will always be an escape zone for me and I'm forever thankful of that. I never imagined myself getting to 10,000 posts but I did. Then again though, with 5 Months, 5 Days, 14 Hours, 7 Minutes, 8 Seconds online time it doesn't surprise me. Thank you to everyone who's been a friend of mine these last few years, thank you to illuminati▲ for being a placeholder for this massive feedback thread, thank you to Roger Waters for moving it out of the Titans sub forum to RANF, and again, thank you to Omni for making HF as awesome as it is. Also thank you for taking the time to read my feedback thread, it took a long time to make and a lot of effort was put in so I really hope you all thoroughly enjoy it. 😉

Also if you would like to read my Wiki page you can find it here: http://hackforumswiki.net/index.php/Cooligan

Till next time. 🎉

Thanks mang, and no prob. Thanks again for the postholding.

And okay I'll try not to. 😏

Ahh it feels so good to be able to post you don't even know.

* - minimalist - Feb 1, 2016

I didn't read through any of it but this caught my eye:

Quote:RANF, the mini mod haven lol. I mean not one bit of hate when I say that because to be honest, if I think about it, I'm a mini mod myself and really I don't have a problem with that.

...and I have to agree with you.

Well it's about time dude! Been a month or so.

Amazing feedback, I kind of got a sneak peak in the subforum.

Thanks for the little plug 🤗

* - Skypе - Feb 1, 2016

Damn you noob for making me tear up a bit while reading your feedback about The Empire. :')

What amazing times we (the whole group) had. Congrats on 10k Cooligan. 🤝

P.s. I remember when I posted that picture. xD

* - Sir - Feb 1, 2016

You were definitely a part of Skill, you were just in it during it's final days. I actually vividly recall when I returned from my 2 week ban to find out that Platinum was selling membership spots + the group. I removed all the people that he randomly invited for no reason, then I invited in a group of about 12 people in to be around for the final days. You were a part of that group, you probably didn't get to stick around long enough to even notice though because once Platinum found out I had kicked about 100 people that shouldn't have been in there he kicked me and everyone else from the group and then sold it. Anyways, congratulations on 10k posts. 🤝
